Fumika Shimizu/Yuuki Joujima from Fourze is now a Cultist

Moments ago, I read a report that Fumika Shimizu of Kamen Rider Fourze/Hentai Kamen has retired from acting to devote her entire life to the controversial Japanese cult, Happy Science.

This reminds me of how John Travolta and Tom Cruise joined Scientology and took turns for the worse, despite that Cruise himself may be successful today due to some of his recent movies. I find this decision to devote oneself to an insaner religion to be a very, very stupid idea.

I'm gonna replay the False Profits main mission from Watch Dogs 2 to calm myself. To Fourze fans, maybe even Hentai Kamen fans, I'm so sorry.

Honestly though, she'll probably be fine. My own sister sorta joined a cult when she was around the same age. Although hers was a political cult. It's easy to make mistakes and get taken in by promises that aren't realistic when you're young and inexperienced.

If she has been following Happy Science since she was a child, I think she will follow through. I would even say that acting was probably forced on her by her parents to get away from Happy Science.

The most intersting thing I got from reading that was how little she claimed to be paid for doing Fourze. That's some early Saban Power Rangers shit right there.

She was 16 at age of shooting so she doesn't quite qualify as a child actor, but there's still a provision saying under 18 can't be made to work between 10 PM and 5 AM. Her talent agency/Toei is in violation of labor laws then, she should sue.

I also think the cult name is a little ironic. Anyone who has a career in science knows how not happy it is most of the time.

Fukushi's in Bleach. If that film adaptation bombs (I'm not holding my breath, it may as well), he may return as Gentarou again in the future. Takahashi/Kengo quit acting due to illness and Zod knows what happened to the other members of the Club.

Honestly though, she'll probably be fine.

It turns out that she has ended her contract with LesPros.

In Happy Science, she named herself as Sengen Yoshiko and signed a contract with ARI Production.
