So, apparently this title has been floating about Japanese copyright sites under Toei's name. It seems real enough, but the name's definitely a departure from what we've seen before... What do you all think?

I wonder if Toei is reading us fans. I mean, we discussed a pirate themed sentai and they made Gokaiger. We discussed a ghost/undead/youkai hunter sentai and now this.

If they make a sports, sea life or music based sentai next...

The first thing I noticed from the blog post

-The 30th Anniversary of Metal Heroes may influence the show in some ways

Really....an anniversary influence from a show that is a totally different franchise.

It may be Toei show but putting any kind of elements from older shows in as a anniversary without a good reason just reduces the overall impact when you can celebrate a true anniversary.

If, as people seem to be speculating everywhere, it is a play on words of "Ghostbusters", I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that it's not a parody of / homage to the 1984 Ghostbusters movie, its sequals and its franchise. Instead, let me throw this one into the works. The live action"The Ghost Busters TV series from 1975, and its remake in Filmation's Ghostbusters in 1986. If for no other reason than the fact that the live action version had the heroes receiving their mission every episode mission impossible style, though the animated series introduced a number of easily adaptable elements including a three man team (well, 2 men and an ape), a transformation sequence of sorts, many gadgets, sentient non-human non-ranger partners (the phone, bat and car), an "extra ranger" style character (Futura), a main villian and evil "generals", etc.

Probably has nothing to do with either franchise whatsoever, but it's amusing to think about in any case. ^^;

That's an interesting theory, but I think there's several levels of thought that went into it that makes it not likely from a probable sense.
