Looking by the Ornament in the Gaim helmet + 2 Swords + 1 Gun.
i can't help but Relating Gaim to Warring States General named Masamune Date.
I Mean, 3 attributes up there is used by Koei and Capcom Version of Masamune Date
You're right, they did have guns. But the thing is, Gaim's a Samurai. Was kinda hoping for a swords only motif.

It was certainly the beginning of the end, but there were a quite of gun-using samurai and not samurai in the early days of firearms.

They were mostly old fashion rifles from Filipino/Spanish traders. Though it wasn't till Nobunaga figured out exacts on how to effectively use them were they used in large scale in Japanese armies, until then they were seen as fancy expensive toys and that horses were the obvious military choice... If I'm remembering my Japanese history right.
