Actually, Gaim weapon is based in historical fact. During the WWII era, many Japanese soldiers carried similar weapons.

The orange sword was also not unprecedented.

Gunswords are indeed not a fictional thing.
I don't know about Japanese soldiers, but in Europe those weapons were made a couple of centuries before the WWs and were never really popular on the battlefield because they were not good enough at neither function.

Needing weird stuff for an RPG, I also found these:

This was an entertaining episode for me. I kind of hope that this is a thing in future Riders, similar to the Red Sentai Torch pass.

EDIT: Was I one of the few people that had a fangasm when Decade actually showed up and referred to the Magic Stone world as Wizard's World? Makes you wonder, has he been traveling for the past 5 years? LOL

It was funny watching Haruto become confused and astounded by the scenery changing randomly. I think all 13 previous Heisei-title Riders showed up. Let's see: Kuuga, Agito, Ryuji, Faiz, Blade, Hibiki, Kabuto, Kiva, Den-O, Decade, W, OOO, Fourze. Yep, all present and accounted for.

I actually was interested in what kind of font the Gaim series will use, if this is an indication, then it's good to me.

Overall, a fun episode to pass the time. I am sad that Den-O used his "CLIMAX" line instead of his "Ore Sanjou!" line.

And for those who didn't like this episode, just repeat after me, "ONORE, DECADE!"

Can't wait for Wizard Finale!

I thought that was the best part. XD

Well that episode was basically rubbish.

Though, this is my first close up action shot of Gaim, and they really went all out to make him look cool. Even his costume seems pretty good. They do seem to like baggy clothes lately, don't they?

"So, this is Wizard's world" '...Hey don't pin all of this on me.' This, has a strange feel to it, almost like it's a second hyper battle video special. Just felt a little cluttered, but also over too soon for me to comfortable 'just go with it' the first time through... Though I do like the idea that after being defeated, every monster is just sitting in their own little world where they can, for once, not repeatedly kicked, slashed, punched, shot, cut, chopped, or just generally beaten. Heck even the video of all the kaijus released, there's like 5 or so kaijus just sitting on an overpass or something, chilling.

I really wanted this episode to have more Decade, but I suppose this is the life of loving the fandom punching bag.

Gaim's sword being an orange slice is the best thing ever and I'll never forgive Bandai for naming it something that isn't "Orange Slicer."

I don't really mind the fact that the episode's low budget is so apparent; It only exists to mark time so Gaim can debut later anyway.

Not much to say on the episode itself but Gaim's appearance did confirm one thing for me. While the fruit based armour actually manages to works (at least for the orange) the Sengoku Driver has to be the most ridiculous henshin device of any Kamen Rider I've seen so far, surpassing even the Fourze driver in oversized clunkiness which is a feat in of itself.

One thing about this episode that caught my eye was the 20 second hand held cam continuous shot that started at about 18:38. Toei doesn't normally give us any shots from that perspective (and for good reason, it's shaky), but for that reason it also stands out. All the more so because it's such a long shot, managing to seamlessly go between multiple Wizard forms and Beast in the same shot. That was the kind of thing that would get tiring quickly, but used sparingly I rather liked it. It did a great job impressing upon the viewer just how frenzied the battle was. :)

That's par for the course for anything involving Decade or Decade-ish alternate universes. It's basically canonized fan fiction. Have a drink (or three) before starting, don't pay too much attention to the plot, and it'll go down more smoothly.

Yeah, but I've watched Decade before. It's just weird watching Wizard like this.

Knowing how kids view adults as monsters at times, I chuckled when I know about the kids' plain in not turning into adults "kaijin".

Am I seeing Blade, Agito and Kugga getting focus-fired and killed there?

Gaim's face design still reminds me of Olga, and he looks clunky compared to the black emperor.

I thought that was already revealed as Yu Kamimura (from Fourze/Wizard movie)?

I don't know if that was the Owner's real name. That could be the name that the Owner wanted to have.

So...when Amadam showed up...did anyone else immediately think, "We are the Knights who say...NI!!!". I felt like he was going to ask Haruto bring him a shrubbery.

I was too distracted by 'Is, that suppose to be the villain from the OOO movie or, have they gone full silly/cheese?'

I remember the Owner Name!

Hmm, I was kinda hoping that Gaim didn't have a gun-sword. Doesn't feel very samurai-ish to have a gun, even though it's a gun-sword. Also, isn't the Gaim armor kinda bulky looking?
But Warring States do Have gun. Or maybe i got Scammed by those Koei Games?
Looking by the Ornament in the Gaim helmet + 2 Swords + 1 Gun.
i can't help but Relating Gaim to Warring States General named Masamune Date.
I Mean, 3 attributes up there is used by Koei and Capcom Version of Masamune Date
