Cosplay rangers!

Interesting episode, kinda a twist on the normal "omg the female ranger's gonna get married" but in a good way, where it's obvious that she isn't the one who wants to get married, it's someone who is trying to force her. Good message guys!

I wasn't sure at first, but the rich guy is a very subtle poke at Kamen Rider Kabuto. Tendou 天道 is literally "heaven's road" and Kanna 神流 is "god's path". Then of course Tendou's catchphrase is "I am the man who will stand at the top of everything" and Kanna is "I am the man who is the center of the world." Nice one, scriptwriters!

I definitely felt a distinct bit of glee in seeing Nossan's pun come and bite him in the ass. Muhahaha.

Ian can be kind of an idiot sometimes. He was wondering why Shiro's stone was clear when it's Deinochaser's stone. Deinochaser has a physical body.

I think you're pushing really far to make it a Tendou reference. Kanna is just a rich bastard and all his stuff is just overblown and pompous. Besides, Kanna wouldn't be God's path. At best, it'd be God's way. It's a pretty superficial resemblance at best. You could basically say the same thing about any other really arrogant character with a self-important catchphrase.

I kind of wish cosplay quest didn't boil down to a laser tag fight.

For an episode about Amy and her friend, it really doesn't seem like Amy does that much in this episode except kick start the plot.

It was kind of funny how the monster of the week basically didn't know what he was doing. Luckyuro getting distracted to play games was also pretty great.

Not the first time that's happened for what the preview seems to indicate is an Amy-centric episode. I'd say this was more of a Souji-centric episode, but I usually like episodes that focus on Souji more than I liked this episode. The cosplay, the contest, the wager about the engagement, the laser tag, the egotistical rich creep...it felt like the writers had a random-plot element generator and decided to throw in anything that popped up, regardless of whether it really fit together. The only thing that really mattered was the stone, and the important information about what the stones represented were explained in the first few minutes of the episode.

The monster was pretty funny though, and Luckyuro continues to be adorable. Since he seems to like things that humans create so much, I'd love to see him survive Deboss' destruction and become Torin's sidekick or something.

I wouldn't mind seeing Candy and Lucky survive the events of this story. I mean, their main thing is wanting to make people happy? How dastardly!

So after defeating the main boss in mid-season ep, we are treated to a power-up ep, 1 of the baddies is getting stronger, and the Sentai is tasked to find some object like it's some kind of game? I think I remember seeing a plot line like this happening earlier......Ca va?

Director must be 1 of Tendou haters, portraying Kanna as a snobbish, stuck up kid using a similar line. Pains me since I'm kind of a fan of Tendou.

I guess this is the episode with the most line for Souji? Someone makes a counter to calculate it now.

Liked that Luckyuro was just wanting to play, it was funny. Also liked that the monster was incredibly confused. XD

The role-call with carnival is annoyingly long. In my mind I kept wondering how Saban will make it better. e_e;

I'm with take with about Kanna. If he start sprouting "Grandmother said this" lines, then he would be more like Tendou since that is more an unique trait of his than being on top of the heavens. Luckyrou just forgets about his mission and plays Laser Tag with the other guests. I can also see him surviving at the very end. Poor MoTW didn't have time to get use to his new body. It was nice to see the Blastic Pointer again. Glad that gag is still going.

Tendou walked the Path of Heaven as the ruler of all. It was Tsurugi who had the habit of standing on top of things.

Anyway. Good episode, though it kind of felt like Amy and Souji were competing for screen time.
