Just a good setup, no WOW feel for episode 44 when looking at its predecessors (not counting Gokaiger, it's an anniversary series.)
Go-Busters: Mecha War 2012
Goseiger: Big reveal of Buredoran's plotting, he kills the robo boss and Metal Alice.
Shinkenger: Takeru revealed to be Kagemusha <3 the team's emotional trauma.
But this… I dunno… It works as a setup, but there's no WOW feel to it, not even Dantetsu's betrayal.
My take on Dantetsu's "betrayal", and its purpose.
I'm surprised the Spirit Rangers never showed up though...

Well I think I can see why Dantetsu might need to take over and become Silver, killing Torin. Good guy or not, the fact remains that in his current form, Deboss can take over other Deboss beings; and Torin is a viable and very useful target. A Kyouryuuger, Bragigas' partner too. Torin must die to completely wipe Deboss cells of the Earth, and only Dantetsu can do this. It's the classic Harry Potter's "Snape must kill Dumbledore" plot. You still need a Silver to fire the Gigant Canon on Deboss, and that's where the HUMAN Dantetsu will come in, and use the Earth's Melody to make it an even more powerful strike.
