Re: KR Gaim 08 released
So I just upgraded to a 46" smart TV that can directly stream from my PC over wireless N, instead of the old PS3 media server which would serve pretty choppily to the PS3 and to my 720p 32" TV. THIS was the first new programming I watched to break in the TV. Niiiice! Helheim forest was incredibly interesting visually to watch.

When the toys come out, they have the quotes written on the boxes and Mango's has been confirmed to be "Fight of Hammer".Vincearan wrote:Could it have been "Might of Hammer"?

I use Tversity to PS3 myself and it always looked fine to me. Just out of curiosity, is your PS3 wired or were you using wireless for that setup?Alessar wrote:So I just upgraded to a 46" smart TV that can directly stream from my PC over wireless N, instead of the old PS3 media server which would serve pretty choppily to the PS3 and to my 720p 32" TV. Re: KR Gaim 08 released
I had forgotten he had picked it so long ago, thought we'd see him get it in the forest this time around. Still, major respect to any Rider form with a cape, Mango Arms new fav arms.
So... a big company comes in and took over where your dad works... So you see that as strength and want to be strong enough to do that, preferably to the group that did that to your family... And thus create those who curse you and want to gain the kind of power you have and by force take you over just as you had the group before you... So Kaito just wants to create a huge chain of empathy lacking creation and destruction view the belief of Might Makes Right... See this is why I share no sympathy for this guy, no matter how many kids jumping out of trees he might catch.

Re: KR Gaim 08 released
I'm really enjoying this season so far. It doesn't feel like any kamen rider we have had in the last few years. They are going out of way to explain things previous season would have left untouched. Lots of other things I like as well but it's to much to list.

Re: KR Gaim 08 released
but wasn't 'fight of hammer' chosen cause that's what the toy says or something?

Fight of Hammer's katakana text was shown in some toy ad. The captions we had was wrong last episode. I think even the captions guy thought it would be the same like Banana but wasn't.

Why GARO cast always debut as antagonist in KR? Let's think about it. I felt very bad for Aoki and Kubota.

good guy: "hey, it'd be fun if I could do x. ....oh, but x would cause problems for other people and be considered bad. guess I'd better not do x. now what do I do for fun?"
bad guy: "hey, it'd be fun if I could do x." *does x* "I was right! that kicked ass! oh, it caused someone problems? .....f**k 'em. now I'm gonna do x some more. it's just so much fun!"

Re: KR Gaim 08 released
I'm actually a few episodes behind on Gouraigan. It's plenty weird too, but the premise is a bit more straightforward. It's just that no one expects superheroes to get their powers from giant fruit that land on their heads.squashy wrote:SOMEBOBY HASN'T BEEN WATCHING SHOUGEKI GOURAIGAN!!!1Vincearan wrote: yes, THIS SHOW IS FREAKING WACKY, EVEN BY JAPAN'S STANDARDS!

Re: KR Gaim 08 released
I don't know, "Mango au Lait" sounds pretty disgusting, frankly. But then I'm not a big mango guy in general. Except Mango Arms. That thing looks great, and I also immediately felt it had a bullfighter flair to it. Yeah, plenty of things don't match, but considering how many people do have that reaction initially to it, there's something there evoking it.
I've been thinking about this Yuuya thing lately, and I'm wondering if maybe he's still alive but under guard in Yggdrasill's labs somewhere because maybe he ate a raw lock seed or they just caught him trespassing. The characters keep bringing him up, that he's lost in Helheim and they don't know what happened to him, and I feel like if he really was that monster from the first episode that we would have been shown something more about that. Maybe he got attacked by Inves and dropped the driver while running away then got picked up by Zangetsu or something. It would be a plot twist for later, anyway, to have him turn up alive.
And what does SOIYAA mean, anyway? Is it just a random noise like KIYAA or OSSU, where it's just a thing warriors say as a battle cry or a cantrip to focus themselves?
