In Japan Muskmelons are incredibly expensive and are considered a delicacy, and there is a clear differentiation between them and cantaloupes. I'm assuming that Zangetsu's melon is supposed to be a muskmelon based on how they are regarded as premium fruit in Japan (and Zangetsu clearly being top tier armoured rider in the series).

Really? are they very expensive? It calls my attention because here we are in season for muskmelons (the green one right?) and the price for one of mid-size (like 20cm of diameter) is about 300Yen, or 3 USD and that'e because they are brought from the southern parts of my country...

If you Come to Chile you can eat all you want, it's summer here!!! and we have a lot of fruits and it's really hot... they are really cheap
pineapple, plums, cherry, apricot, peach, strawberry, fig, papaya, melon, pears, watermelon, grapes, banana, lemons, apples, oranges, avocado...

It's honestly more similar to a honeydew, but sweeter.

Capsicum (Bell Pepper) is a Fruit as well. From the same plant family as the tomato. Eggplants are as well.

OOOOOH so that's what you call muskmelons! Lol I have it almost every summer, it's good to live in the tropics it's great and when mixed with some sugar it's like eating natural pudding (that's probably a bit glorifying). The thing's stem is somewhat poisonous and vomitive so around here we use that in food poisoning cases.

I don't think so, but I also like Tomatoes, I don't consider them much as a fruits since I like to eat it with salt
