Definitely shaping up to be the best Neo.
I'm still watching Kuuga and Agito so I can't say which is the best for Heisei.

To me, Agito and Kabuto will remain the gems of the Heisei-1 era. But that might just be nostalgia talking.

Yeah, as long as Agito exists, I can't say that I'll file Gaim as the best Heisei Rider.
It can become a darn good show, though; that spot's open.

This calls for a poll! I'm going to stick with what I know, so Blade.

I can't vote yet, because obviously I don't know how Gaim is going to end! So far, Den-O is still my favorite overall, but gosh Gaim is creeping up on it fast.

I can say that Gaim has already pleased me more than any of the Neo-Heisei Riders, though. I'm not big on film noir so W does nothing for me, I love OOO a lot but not necessarily for the Rider, I'm forcibly ambivalent about Fourze, and while I liked much of Wizard, there was still a lot lacking in the execution.

So.

He's definitely shaping up to be my favourite Neo Heisei and coming very close to my favourite Heisei Rider of all. He's only being beaten by Double and Hibiki (pre-writer change) but that could soon change for me as this is still early series.

More or less the same for me in many regards. I liked the Noir conventions of W (and I think it and Shinkenger are good examples of using thematic conventions to add extra drama), OOO was good, but that was more for Ankh's story arc than Eiji's, Fourze was just plain bad (the rider was boring and flat and it really exposed the weakness of the two episode arcs), and Wizard had its moments but it didn't quite mesh everything together.

Can't comment on the other stuff because the only series I've seen in its entirety is Kiva. Also seen part of Den-O, but nothing before that.

Thanks for adding the poll :)

I loved Kuuga and Kabuto. I find Agito and 555 a bit hard to enjoy. I've only seen 5 episodes of Blade, it was good and dark.
Kiva, W, OOO were okay and enjoyable.
Wizard is just plain, the only thing I like is Rinko-chan.

Can I just say I hate the term Neo-Heisei? It's not like Decade marked a real turning point in KR, that would be Den-O. What's the point of arbitrarily assigning the term to everything Decade and after if it doesn't actually denote anything?

Gaim's pretty cool.

I think it's mostly just the combination of 10 being a nice round number, and also the feel of the series changing from W onward.

I would argue that if you're going to have a turning point in the KR series, it would be at either Kabuto or Den-O. If you compare Kuuga to each subsequent series, Kabuto is where you start to see a definitive change in tone and Den-O is where the tone breaks entirely.

Where the hell does Neo-Heisei come from? It's still Heisei.

Gaim is good. I'll reserve all right until its over. Lots of shows have had a good first part and then gone rubbish in the second.

Just cause it's on a wiki doesn't make it fact!
