Yeah, I'm kinda nostalgia'd out by this point. It'd be fine if it was like every 5 years or so but recently it's been kinda like "Oh not you guys again."

Em I the only one who notice that donut-san's assistant is not on this movie, I like to see them transform and deliver their donot finnisher )
I agree to takenoko, I like villains with bo back stoey they just apear with them baddass powets and try to conquer the world.
The gilr that looks like Mai is there again shr's missing in gaim, I thought they cut her paet on the show, but this movie is on the earlier episode of gaim so I dont know, hey look, Hase's alive and Michi's not an asshole, how times past.

Did you watch the last episode of Wizard? That will explain the Infinity Ring.
Re: Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Great War relea
Watch the specials I guess they were canon to the show after all.tr0jance wrote:When did Haruto lose his Infinity Ring?

Oh yeah, he gave it to his younger self on a different world, my bad, I forgot about that, since in the wizard movie, he still have the infinity ring, but then I realize that the wizard movie happened before the series concluded.

After all. Infinity Ring made of Haruto tears. I wonder if he cried again on that beach (KOYOMIIII ). That's how he got another Infinity Ring.
Re: Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Great War relea
Well I really enjoyed Wizard's part of the movie; a nice wrap-up to that story. Gaim's part however... I don't know, I just wasn't feeling it. There was a lot going on and sometimes it just seemed a tad unnecessary. It was nice to see the little cameos though; oh how I've missed Akiko and her antics!
I guess I shouldn't have been surprised but the movie-exclusive forms just came out of nowhere again, with no real explanation. "Other Mai" just gave them Legend Rider Lock Seeds and Haruto's Finish Strike Ring turned his Infinity Dragon form gold this time instead of silver just because it could, apparently.
Just afterwards Gaim & Wizard are inside Bujin Gaim where the Bujin Riders grant them their power, though it doesn't seem to have any real visual effect. For me, that's what should have given them their new forms - would've made a little more sense.

Judging by how the Yggdrasil trio teasing with the new lock seeds, I suppose this is before Hase kicked the bucket? Thanks to different writer, it's a sore thumb with Takatora being not disturbed by who the Budou rider is.
And Mitsuzane telling others to count their sins. Oh, the irony.
Oddly enough, I actually enjoyed Wizard part more than Gaim, even though the former's series pales in comparison. There's some nice cameo, but other than that, it just looks like they didn't have enough time to broaden things up for Gaim's part.

The crossover was shown in theaters when Gaim was still on episode 8 or 9. So yeah it is before Hase kicked the bucket.KR_FIA wrote:Judging by how the Yggdrasil trio teasing with the new lock seeds, I suppose this is before Hase kicked the bucket? Given that Hase was alive in this film, yeah, prrrrrobably set before his death.
Re: Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Great War relea
Right, Hase was right there for the whole movie, so I got a brain fart after watching this movie...
Guess it shows how unorganized it was just to have all 4 Gaim main riders fighting for the same cause.

Could he just not have recognized him? Takatora did not know about Micchi being a beat rider, so why would he think twice about a guy in Team Gaim clothes and messy hair?KR_FIA wrote:Thanks to different writer, it's a sore thumb with Takatora being not disturbed by who the Budou rider is.

The real explanation is Takatora has lousy eyesight, but is too proud to wear his glasses.

Re: Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Great War relea
It's strange that I found the Wizard section to actually be decent. The Gaim part was mediocre. Also there were a ton of plot holes throughout - they seem to have given up on any semblance of decent writing in these movies.
I find it difficult to care about a villain who's a suit with no face; the same goes for all the Bujin Riders actually.
I think there's been too many movies and specials where the hero goes to an alternate reality and saves the world there. Why do I care about some alternate world? If the entire story takes place there, like in the early Heisei KR movies, that's ok. But this insistence on having the "real" hero transport to the alternate world all the time is just ridiculous.

Re: Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Great War relea
Toei discovered the golden fruit of non-canon movies early on and have rarely given them up since. That way, they can pay one of their B writers to do the movie while their main writer works on the TV series. I think it really shows with the quality of most Rider movie stories. I don't think I need to mention that the Butcher had nothing to do with this movie.
