That's fascinating. I mean, if you look at the effect it does look like a bunch of fruit and not just the strawberry. I guess it's just a little weird to me since Kouta could have done this in his Kachidoki Arms mode too.

I blame Bandai! I don't recall seeing a weapon in KR with quite as many vocalizations as this one.takenoko wrote:That's fascinating. Re: KR Gaim 33 and Yuta Cafe 5 released
So I was that the new version of 32 to add the name of Gaim's weapon for his orange arms. Does that mean someone is going to re-released a new version for this episode to include the weapon name for Gridon? It was announced just after the Melon Defendor. Not that I'm offending anyone, but its just that these past two episodes, we finally hear most of the names of the weapons that the Riders used. It just leaves the weapon names from the Pine, Ichigo, Suika, and the Kiwi Lockseeds.

I'll note the mistakes in the wiki. Probably not worth releasing a v2 for though, since it's fairly minor. Sorry!

I hope we never see Kiwi's frisbees ever again. Kouta should obsessively use every other weapon, including Knuckleman's fists, and just never once pull out the death-frisbees.

Why not? Kiwi arms looked fine to me.

Kiwi is ugly as hell, it makes Ryugen look like MerMan from Masters of the Universe.
And its weapons are incredibly dumb. Huge sharp discs that he has to swing around, and can't even use in a way which makes sense, like a sword or spear. There's a reason Micchi never uses it anymore, after all; it's hideous and stupid, and the people running the show realized it really quick. Which is unfortunate, because kiwis are delicious and I was excited that Micchi's Arms were two of my favourite fruit.

GASP! What the chakrams are cool as fuck. I'm pretty ticked he didn't use them more often.dancercotillion wrote:Kiwi is ugly as hell, it makes Ryugen look like MerMan from Masters of the Universe.

Re: KR Gaim 33 and Yuta Cafe 5 released
I agree with Revorse, above. I also think Kiwami Gaim will get some pretty good usage out of the big swinging, spinning, kiwi discs of death.
I think they gave Kiwi Arms those as the weapons because that was the best idea they could think of in terms of; 'what weapon haven't we already used and that is somehow shaped like the fruit.' So while these big discs aren't the most practical thing to fight with (nor for the Arms Change figures either ), they're able to look like/represent the slices of a kiwi which is what they've gone for with all the other weapons, i.e. find a way of having them symbolise the related fruit. So the slice of orange becomes a blade, the banana is a big spear, the bunch of grapes are rounds in a revolver (...sort of), the acorn is a hammer, the strawberries are knives etc.

I'm honestly baffled by the kiwi weapons. You'd think he'd throw them around or spin them. Instead, he tends to keep them held out like some kind of straight bladed weapon. It just seems weird and ineffective.

The best I saw the kiwi arms used was by Baron in the HBV. Looked better on him too.

That's cause Micchy was a bitch back then. He didn't know how to fight efficiently, (lol probably still doesn't) But any sane fighter would probably use the weapons in the way you described.takenoko wrote:I'm honestly baffled by the kiwi weapons.
