Oh boy, a Japanese themed Transformers. And it's short. It's like a marriage of all my favorite things.

Really liked the combined robot forms. Kind of wish the Predacons got off their ass and fought instead of just combining the weaker guys though.

Looking forward to the ninja chapter next month.

It seems to be a lot like digimon
Like he just randomly summoned the transformers out of no where like digivices
Also the fact that they combine seems like digimon xros wars
Then he's like Oh crap you have them too :O to his friend
makes it sound even more like digimon to me :/

That was fun. I really liked the Autobot team. If nothing else they did a good job of making me want to buy the toys.

Some exec in Hasbro/Takara is probably rubbing his hands together going "Good... good..."

Hm... Gonna watch a few more episodes... I've not watching Transformers for quite long, the last one was Beast Wars. So far, just like the rest mentioned, it's got the Xros Wars vibe. Not comparing or complaining it, but to me it's just there in the whole episode.

Anyway, the show has a good start and pack of actions. Simple introduction to the characters. I love the idea they use to differentiate between the modern vehicles as the good Samurai team, and the ancient animals as the baddies. Hope they do not rush things later.

Is it just me or does those three transformations look like getter robo for a while (A balanced mode, speed mode and a power mode) ?

I noticed it too. It feels like a combination between Transformers and Getter Robo, hehe...

I made popcorn before watching this , it was a wise decision

Going to watch this one for sure , i am sucker for giant robots afterall ( CURSES PACIFIC RIM WILL ONLY DEBUT AGUST 9 HERE )

Isn't the anime just two episodes? The samurai chapter this month and ninja chapter next month? It's not a full series, unfortunately.

I knew it was limited. I didn't know it was THAT limited. It really is nothing but a long commercial. Oh well. As I pointed out earlier, it worked on me.
