Not a bad episode, but I didn't quite enjoy it as much as last week's. There were a few funny moments, but I guess I was hoping for more from the preview. I guess that's the problem with Tokacchi's hidden feelings for Mio, since they can't show him acting overtly on them. So that makes most of the episode revolve around Mio being awkward.

Also, when Wagon said a man should let his back do his talking for him, they're referring to this pose:

Since we know the Toqgers (sans Akira) are kids in adult bodies, it made this episode creepy. Of course the guy doesn't know that Mio is really a kid but still creepy though. The guy is at fault for not knowing "No means no!" I don't really like when they do fake dates to get a guy to go away. It's more mean to put on the facade than just continuing outright tell him to go away.

Man Right, you really don't like it when others steal your thunder.

These kinds of dating episodes rarely go well, and ToQGer's was no exception. Though I will give Toei credit for finding someone would could act so pathetic.

@18:25: Oh god that's wrong! So, so wrong! There is exactly zero subtly in that.

And why is the show on break for November 2nd?

That may be the worst cluster-mech yet. And that's not an easy accomplishment

No idea why there's a break.

And Toei didn't have to try very hard, Sakamoto Makoto's been in a billion other toku episodes:

Apparently there's a college championship relay race that's going on for 5 hours.

A relay race? This show gets preempted by the damnedest stuff. :P

Oh yeah, there's also a translator note if you stick to the end of the episode.

The dating episode, so shortly after the revelation they are actually kids?

And really subtle, a pun on going out and than preparing to ram a rod up a man's behind...

I find it sad that it said "A Japanese actor. He's known to play otaku or geeky roles."

I think I enjoyed him more in Garo when the Horror took him XD

Do you find it sad because he's typecast? At least he's a working actor.

I didn't really enjoy this episode. Sure, Tokkachi at the end going mental was awesome, but the rest of the episode was stupid. Mio pretends to have a fake boyfriend that is willing to do everything he his told but she freaks out, when she just could have ignored the other guy.

It's an old trope and to be honest, it's really lost its charm in modern times when it just comes off as forced and unrealistic. I know they're all kids still technically, but they've still got the mindset of adults. I don't know of a single modern girl who would go on a date just to make the other guy give up. It's easiest to just lay it flat and if necessary, get a restraining order.
