In before people complaining that the movie is too short.

I liked Lady's uniform, it reminded me of Rainbow Brite's. Too bad she waited to the end to bring out Passko.

The animal theme was random, but was kind of fun. Felt like a random GaoRanger tribute. The new robo wasn't on screen very long, which was disappointing.

A flying train?! Den-O?!

Hopefully we can get this out before the movie tie-in episode airs.

It was pretty decent. I was exactly thinking that Lady was lacking a bit of Imagination and being cynical like an adult. Kagura's animal form was just so over the top that it was funny.

It's probably a bad sign when I've forgotten that the Toqgers can transfer.

I'd really like someone to make a chart of just how many times they transfer and when it's actually necessary/useful. I might do it myself if I'm feeling really bored one day.

I think it's better that they don't use transferring when it's not appropriate. Don't complain about it being underused when the opposite case would just make you complain about how it feels crammed in and unnecessary.

I'm just saying, if you're going to have a gimmick, you should use it, otherwise the whole point of the gimmick is stupid. Maybe if they used their imagination they could come up with some interesting ways to use it.

But no one liked the gimmick. I think what you want would just make people resent the gimmick even more.

They use it well story-wise when extending the time limit in Shadow Towns. Besides that, I think it's just a way to physically represent their friendship. It's used enough to make the point.

Probably why Toq Rokugou can't transfer with the others?

I can't help but feel that the writers lacked imagination when they came up with the name "Lady." I realize that having the conductors named poorly is kind of a trope for the show, but just about anything would have been better than Lady. It's the ultimate impersonal name.

And while I'm at it, what exactly is a point of a train line that takes 25 years to complete its route? Who's riding the train, Dorian Gray? :P

At 30 minutes long it's as long as any other Sentai movie. Which is to say not long enough for a good plot, but so long that they're forced to put in filler to pad out the time.
Felt like a random GaoRanger tribute.
Is there any specific connection between ToQger and Gaoranger? That can't be pure coincidence.

Transferring got abused to heck and back for the first half of the series until Hyper Ressha was introduced. I for one am glad they're no longer mindlessly using it every single episode.

There's only three episodes left to air - I don't think Safari will be showing up in the series.

Since the age of gimmicks (e.g. Gaoranger) has there ever not been a movie tie-in episode?

Maybe my limited knowledge will show because I haven't seen all of the series, but was it just GaoRanger that was referenced? When I was watching, it looked to me like each ranger (except Kagura) was a reference to a previous series: Right = Gaoranger, Tokkachi = Jetman, Mio = Gekiranger, Hikari = Kyoryuger. The only problem is that I can see no reason why those four would have been combined for a tribute.

I mean, it could just be an excuse to throw some animals into the movie? Sometimes a cake is just a cake.
