39th Super Sentai Series

It's official! The 39th entry of the long-running Super Sentai series is finally revealed. Toei registered the trademark of next year's Super Sentai entry called Shuriken Sentai Ninninger! Based on the word Shuriken (ninja stars) alone, this next Super Sentai will be a Ninja-theme of heroes. And will likely similar to Ninja Sentai Kakuranger (1994) and Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger (2002).

Shuriken Sentai Ninninger is expected to air in February 2015 along with Kamen Rider Drive on Super Hero Time programming block of TV Asahi , and replacing Ressha Sentai ToQGer.

Great. I suppose they figured if they could get away with 3 Dinosaur sentai, then 3 Ninja sentai is no issue.

Ah, I've been guessing for a while now that they'd come back around to ninjas eventually. Glad to see that they've finally picked it out of the hat again. So assuming they're not doing something unusual for the 40th anniversary, I'd guess they'll go for police or beasts next.

You say that like it's a bad horrible evil thing. Sides, one could argue that with Kyouryugers as well and that series was great. Personally I'm glad to see another ninja entry. While it'd be nice for it to be another goofy entry like Hurricanger and Kakuranger, I'm actually hoping this more goes the Shinkengers route of for, period drama style serious and awesome choreography. Don't get me wrong I'm all for the fun ninja flip into action, and I get how dangerous it'd like be, but I'd love to see some fast moving fight scenes... Not sure what I'd want to see zord or weapons like though, though it's likely they're all have element based shurikans is my bet.

Yeah I've had enough of the goofiness from the Super Sentai. It would be nice if they followed the Shinkenger route as well.

Pink's and Blue's visors look, to me, as similar as Red's and Yellow's. That the main different is the addition of a curve or roundness to the throwing star looking visors... Still It'll be nice to actually see a full cast video instead of a mag photo/scan.

That aside, it is nice to see White return as a main team color. Don't see Pink and White rangers in the same main team line up too often. What was the last time, Change man?

Personally, I think blue and pink's visors are the ones that look similar.

Although I guess pink's is more rounded than blue's?

Someone else mentioned in chat rumors that Nakamura Yuichi is in the running for blue. Wouldn't be the first time Toei grabbed a toku alum for Sentai. Yuuichi's only 27 so he's still got a few good years in him.

Was just about to post the suits myself. Thanks buddy. I'm also really digging the suits I don't feel put off by them like ToQ.

Red and Yellow's visors are still distinguishable from each other. They may be both rectangular, but Yellow's visor is wider near the center.

I'm still looking out for clearer shots of the suits. And I'm really excited for the first Mecha. The only thing that I hate on ToQ is the terrible mech designs, so I'm hoping they won't disappoint this coming year.
