What is the running order of the series? I know eps 1-25 are straight forward, but where do all the specials fit in? I'm catching up with everything & would like to watch the series in the right order....

The Overview is a recap of the first 13 episodes, but other than that, the order is series, Gaiden, Beast of the White Night.

Currently enjoying this series with my wife, and it's absolutely wonderful. Deliciously dark and deadly serious with some light moments provided by the girl infected with Horror blood.

Only up to episode 6 at the moment. But I am hooked. Many thanks to TVN for the excellent job with the subbing.

On the subject of order to watch...

It was my understanding that "Smile" should be viewed after episode 13 (i.e. as a marker for the midway point of the series). There are a few things that point to this the biggest of which is it marks the last appearance of Asami during the production of the series.

Other hints that "Smile" should be viewed during the course of the series proper include:

- Kodama's only speaking part (Kaoru didn't meet Kodama during the sourse of the series so she couldn't know he was mute)
- The Eastern Watchdog is still in her '3 Sisters' form (again Kaoru never met the Eastern Watchdog)
- and of course Zaruba asking his favor of Kaoru

So the order to watch should be:

TV Episodes 1-13
"Smile"
TV Episodes 13-25
Beast Of The White Night

At least that's to my understanding. As far as I translate it "Smile" is a retelling of 1-13 as told from Kaoru's point of view.

That was very well reasoned. I honestly never had thought about it before. Personally I think it should be watched between the TV series and the White Night OV, since I thought it was a bridge between the series.

-Yasue Sato, who played the role of Jabi the Makai Priest, portrayed Nagi on Ultraman Nexus.

-Rei Fujita (ZERO/Ginga) was in Kamen Rider 555 as Lucky Clover member Kitazaki/Dragon Orphenoch, the wearer of the Delta gear from episodes 28 to 32.

-Murai Katsuyuki, who played Smart Brain President Kyoji Murakami on Kamen Rider 555 played Kaoru's father.

-Mika Hijii was in Kamen Rider Blade as Miyuki Yoshinga/Orchid Undead

-Hiroki Konishi "Saejima Kouga", Mika Hijii "Mitsuki Kaoru", and Rei Fujita "Rei Suzumura" worked on an OVA by Keita Amemiya called G-9, which was released September 27, 2006.

-Kyomoto Masaki, who played Barago/Kiba, guest starred as Taki Ryusuke in episode 16 of the 1987 Kamen Rider Black
Hironobu Kageyama, the voice of Zaruba, is a famed anime theme singer who has done the themes for series such as Dragon Ball Z, Choujin Sentai Jetman, and others. He also co-performs both themes of GARO, JAM Project's "Savior in the Dark" and TRYFORCE's "Theme of GARO," as he is a member of both groups.

-Alisa Durbrow who played as ZERO's fallen love Shizuka also starred in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon

-Mina Fukui (Asami) currently stars in Juken Sentai Gekiranger as Ran Uzaki/GekiYellow
