Just finished watching the entire series. One word, "awesome." Kouga, you successfully convert two more people into becoming GARO fans (got my friend to watch and like it too). I can't say that this is one of my favorites cause I've only completely watched Aba, Deka-Bouken, Den-O, and now GARO. But it's definitely a favorite. It's ranking would have to wait since I've watched so few toku.

Mari was 16, Takumi was 18. It's two years difference. It's not like Mamoru and Usagi with a gap of 4+ years.

14 and 18 would be pushing it I think, but 16 and 18 would be ok.

The question is, what's the law in Japan? Certainly in America it would legally be considered rape, because she is a minor and he is an adult, age difference and consensuality regardless. It's happened, sadly. But like I said, that's a moot point unless the law is the same in Japan.
