I always felts stink that Zaruba didn't have his original memories, and forgetting Taiga and Kouga and not liking is name and stuff was pretty lame.

Well, it's supposed to be sad. His death/sacrifice wouldn't mean something if he was just instantly restored with no cost at the end. The fact is, the old Zaruba died since he lost his memories. You can just pretend that the new Zaruba is a new guy with the same look and voice and probably the same personality

The fabled last page, that we never get to see...oh well.

Must say I had skiped out on watching Garo the first run.
That was a mistake, because Garo ended up being fantastic series with great characters.
Can't wait for Red Requiem to come out.

Amazing, once more. Thank you so much for re-doing GARO. Perfect timing too, finishing it off during my time off sick. Been bedridden with a serious case of tonsilitis for the past week, and what better way to slay that Horror than with a Golden Knight (and golden antibiotics)?

Thanks again for this epic!

Can't wait for the White Knight OVA. Thank you for doing this. This show came out right when I was testing the Toku waters with KR Kabuto and unfortunately I had overlooked it. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Awesome series and awesome work you did subbing it :D

It may sound corny, but watching Garo again was like making out with an old girlfriend, remembering the beautiful moments together until the inevitable and bittersweet good bye, but its a ride I'm willing to take anytime of my life. Only Beast Of The White Night left, and the circle will be complete.

Thank you TV-Nihon!!!

A strong end to a strong series. Until I sat down and went through each of these episodes, I didn't realize how much I enjoyed this series. They really went the extra mile to tell a story that had well-developed characters, interconnected plots, and amazing action sequences. I was ambivalent about Garo getting a new movie - I knew I'd watch it when it came time for home release, but I wasn't eager for it to come. Now, I'm disappointed that we're a year out from getting the chance to see it.

Back to this episode, my curiosity demands to know what Kaoru drew on the last page for Kouga. However, the rest of me is content that the last page was supposed to be personal to the reader. Judging by the tears in his eyes, Kaoru nailed what would affect Kouga the most. That's what is important.

just out of curiosity was the release date for the US release ever mentioned and was it straight DVD or DVD and Blu Ray?

Was the US release date mentioned in a Japanese Blu-ray release? Also, I don't understand your question. It aired on Japanese TV in 2005. It was released on DVD in 2006 (I've got a pic of the boxset on my phone)

It was HD remastered last year and aired on TV. Then the Blu-ray set was released a couple weeks ago.

For some reason, I never noticed that Rei has his swords joined together (Darth Maul style) when he's helping Kouga fight Kiba. Obviously, he does this occasionally while in armored form, but is this the only time he's done it in human form?

well I remember a while ago that the first season is getting a US release but they never said when and if it was DVD only or DVD and Blu Ray, so I was just curious if anyone here has heard anything

The other time he had combined swords in human form was when he saved Kouga in Guren Forest.

Their hasn't been any other news about the US release which includes release date and format.
