I guess the scenes between Kouga and Kaoru were cute, but overall I didn't really care for this episode. Maybe the next one will be more interesting.

Unlike takenoko, I really liked this one. The sets were cool, the random transformations were pretty amusing (especially the onnagata and the wire work), and I find it pretty hilarious that Kouga actually has enough money to buy out an entire theater without anyone else getting the tickets. (Except Gonza for some odd reason?)

Poor Kaoru, can't get a date unless it involves Horrors.

Already, it's been like 3-4 days since it aired. This has to be some sort of record for you guys.

Unlike Luna, I don't like toast with Vaseline on it.

I guess it was an okay episode, but you spend a lot of time with the monster of the week and Juran and they just weren't very interesting to watch. I suppose it was amusing that the makeup Horror ate the lady's makeup before killing her, but it was basically rewatching the same hammy fake play 3-4 times.

Still rather watch this one than the motorcycle one again.

likey likey *thumbs up!*
guess Kouga is as rich as his tittle is? who is called a 'bocchan' without being rich?
then again, do the makai knights get reward or something by defeating horrors?

Maybe it’s because I’m a big theatre fan, but I got a kick out of this episode. There was a bit more humor interlaced in the fight against the Horror, but I don’t think the choreography suffered for it.

Gonza had just said the performances were sold out, so I didn’t think Kouga bought the tickets. I assumed they got them from the intended audience through the same type of Makai trickery that they used to knock out the crew.

That lingering shot on Leo at the end was very odd. I can’t figure out if they’re trying to imply that he’s jealous of the relationship Kouga and Kaoru have or not. It probably depends on his relationship to that mystery girl Kaoru reminded him of - if she was a girlfriend, good friend, a sister or his mother.

I actually chuckled at this ep. It was quite funny to watch Kouga getting slapped and having to dodge bullets. I like this ep. I think it will be monster of a week for quite a while. I don't think they covered main plot in first season until way later in series. So this season will probably be same deal. For me I am just gonna enjoy the ride.

Is it just me or that makai priest looks more and more an evil guy? He wasn't smiling at all in this episode save the spotlight part and he seems to be intentionally trying to make negative comments to Gonzo and Kaoru.

Spoiler
If you watched the previews, it seems that Leo has a different agenda and sort of explains the way he's been acting in this episode.

But I liked this episode because it felt like Kouga was also performing, in a way. But I think the episode would've been better if he said an epic line at the end of the fight.

I see what Takenoko is feeling though. After watching Kamen Rider Faiz, W, Kabuto, Decade, OOO, and Kiva, watching any other henshin series starts to look stale when there are little-to-no story elements in each episode. As much as I loved Gekiranger, after watching OOO it lost it's flare. I still love the show, but waiting until there are 4-6 episodes left to start introducing major story elements is borderline Shyamalan-ish.

It was definitely a lower-budget episode. The film quality was ... well, camcorder videotape like. I think they got creative with the funds they had.

I thought it was pretty ironic though, considering Kouga's actor is, well, a A Serious Theatrical Actor and has performed in Les Miserables and sung professionally. I was kind of hoping Kouga would have to take a part in the play to get close to him or something. I had no sympathy for the flaky pop star slumming as an actor, but eating innocent fans means he's got to go.

Good grief, how tall is Leo anyway? 6'3"?

At least Kaoru dragged Kouga on something approaching a date.

Previews look innnnnteresting and turns a few episodes ago more into foreshadowing than teasing, perhaps.

I also really liked the episode. Reminded me of that special with Kaoru and Mark Musashi's English speech about Shinkansens or something.

It was amusing. The parodies they made were pretty smart (I guess the staff one was Goku) and even Kouga had witty remark to make. It would've been cooler if Kouga had gotten more into it, but he just isn't like that.

Kaoru was pretty funny too. It wasn't an awesome ep, but it was nice.
