So we are starting to get a little bit more background into Ryuuga's past
Zaruba speaks a grand total of 8 lines this week, much improved, but not in the presence of Ryuuga, I wonder if Ryuuga stole Zaruba so he could don the armour of Garo

Madou Horrors appear to the villains of this series, should prove interesting in the long run,

It seems the Garo armour also gets a boost this week when Ryuuga fights the horror in a great fight sequence, it shows his determination to win and to fight for what he wants, he also appears to start remembering his family, specifically his kaasan, I didn't recognise her, I do doubt if Ryuuga is of Kougas blood line, but that would raise too many questions. I would also have to guess that Ryuuga needs to remember his past in order to become Garo in more than just the title.

A word of warning, there is a partial nudity scene early on in the ep

Overall I was impressed with this weeks ep, feels more like a Garo episode should feel, and great fight sequences, shows they are upping their game for this year. onwards and upwards is the way to go.

Thought this was a better episode than last week. We see that Ryuuga and that lady cop are still developing their relationship.

We learn more about Gai's new character, although he still looks like Gai to me, even when he acts differently. Hope you've had your shots, since that's an AV actress he's romping around with.

Man, Rian was really cute in the dark wig and the thick glasses. I like how she tricked the guy into giving himself away with a Makai sparkly candle. What a twist on a known concept XD. And I guess she's a fighting priestess? With a six-shooter? Things sure are different. Well, she was completely ineffective, so that's still the same, I guess.

I also like how these guys run around in jackets like Arino's.

I didn't like how this week's episode took place during the day. The SG-1 suits look a lot less menacing, as well as the Horror/Garo CGI battle. Play to your strengths, Garo series!

Ryuuga ripping off the Garo helmet was cool though. Wasn't expecting that.

Haruta Junichi plays this week's bad guy? I totally didn't recognize him, despite him being in Kyouryuuger 3. Must be the glasses.

Oh hello there nipples, was wondering when you would show up. Seemed a bit random though, didn't give much to the plot. Ah well, tits.

I'm still a bit on the edge about this. I mean, it's an interesting concept, but I kinda feel like they've done away with too much of the original story and setting and now the audience has no real reference point. It's not even a Garo series, really.

God I hated that CGI armor. What's the point of having a live action series and suit actors if you're just going to CGI everything?

So there's a new breed of Horrors now. I wonder if the real Horrors know about the new breed yet. Still liking the new series and Gai has grown up to new mature tastes. Ryuuga ripping off the armor was neat but I wonder what was going on though. It was interesting that Madou Rings are quite rare now. I assume that Rian was ineffective because it's really a new breed of Horror and usually the old tricks don't work against the new stuff.

Not gonna lie, but I was taken by surprise to see Ikeda Junya in that nude scene in the beginning. I just can't imagine him as GokaiSilver doing that.

So the knights in this era don’t use Madou Ring. Hmmmm Seem many things have change throughout the years.
Seem like Ryuuga doesn’t know all about the whole armor thing, now we know why.

Pretty good so far. I like the vibe it has, and how they try and make it so there are 2 completely seperate worlds in Volcity (the world with Horrors and Makai Knights, and the world without it), but at the same time, try and make both connected.

Haven't seen much of Garo except for a few episodes awhile back, but those didn't interest me as much as these first 2 have. I'll have to rewatch them to see if they'll interest me now.

Also, the SG-1 seem pretty silly in daylight XD

I see Junya Ikeda in a new light now, and this may sound weird but Garo without random boob shots is not Garo. Rian has to be one of the most beautiful supporting characters in any toku, she looked absolutely stunning. I kinda agree with some of the guys about the excessive use of CGI, but I think Garo is trying with this series to set themselves apart from the traditional toku look and feel and go into a more visceral and stylish tone using CGI, it just needs to be handled with care.

Definitely building up some good plot points quite nicely. The Armour/Horror fight looked kind of average with the CGI, but everything else was pretty nice.

so, in this episode we have a businessman who is a man-eating monster in disguise...in other shocking twists, the sky is blue and the grass is green!

obligatory businessman joke aside, i liked the little twist at the beginning, i was convinced the other guy was the horror, and to see this guy as the horror was unexpected.

he is also different than the normal "i'm evil and i'll eat you" horror. i suspect he didn't even like doing that, but had no choice. i'm half expecting to have a "humans and horrors can co-exist?" dilemma.

makai priest can't defeat horror, guess things ren't so different after all...

Known staple of Garo: Within the first 5 episodes of the show, there will be titties. Also, not gonna lie; I thought Gai was a girl at first.

I liked how they used the green fire on a birthday candle. Shows some innovation in the series. I'm also glad that they are putting more action in the day instead of making it a dark series.

So, we have a Gunner, a Sniper (archer), A Berzerker(Gai), and Garo. Interesting Lineup. I'm liking Zaruba so far, even though he doesn't talk much. Kinda hope they go into the backstory more.

Am I the only one disappointed by the amount of CGI in the series so far? Sure, Garo is a CGI heavy show, but so far, it feels like they aren't really putting any effort into non-CGI Armor Fights. With the previous seasons, we got a good mix of both in and out of suit brawls, and some dazzling costumes, but I feel like they just aren't trying (not saying that making CGI is easy, but the non-CGI fights made this series great.)

I like Rian's outfit a lot. It's cool and not exploitive. Pity her guns aren't powerful enough for the job but it looked like the archer wasn't up to the job either.

Synthetic horrors of some kind? Probably the big company that owns most of the city is a horror front for some ancient Apostle-class horror that revived from the ruins which has got a complex plan involving a city full of potential targets/hosts. I mean ... that's 100% obvious right? The Madou horrors are probably going to be a really big problem if they can act during the day. Garo series 1 strongly suggested that magic works much better at night, both horrors and makai priests (they can use some magic but for a big spell like banishing a bunch of horror residue back to the Shin Makai, Jabi wanted night).

Since the other knights- at least Gai - don't have rings that rather discredits the Zaruba/armor link, don't you think?

Hmms~ But Bado doesn't have a ring as well...or it could be that he was such a minor knight that this wasn't really established....

well either way, i really enjoyed this episode...seeing Garo turn gold for that short period makes me wonder if it has something to do with Ryuuga's memories and acceptance of being Garo....after all, Kouga fought to protect the ones he loved....Ryuuga's main reason (seemingly) for fighting was to kill all the Horrors....maybe different motives resulted in the armour being different....

Rian is so damn pretty!!! I wish they show more of her....Rian >>>>> Kaoru =p
