First up, a small warning

There is a significant amount of partial nudity during this episode and does touch on a sexual nature, it is not advisable to watch this with young people in the room.

Second up, we get some more good fight sequences with Ryuuga and co, takeru gets himself into some trouble

Didnt seem to focus much on the whole story picture, but does give us a lot of fighting and Ryuuga showing more determination to be Garo, which is cool,

Man, that was a fun episode. I liked the way they kept showing the maps to hint at the path of light that was used at the end.

It was a monster with an interesting gimmick, and the plan to defeat him was really cool too. It convinces me that Aguri is a pretty cool dude.

It did a good job with establishing the dynamics between the knights. As well as Rian. I like her sarcastic way of talking to Aguri, by referring to him as -sama, despite being clearly annoyed when he bosses her around. Her way of teasing Ryuuga was funny too since Ryuuga plays the straight man.

But I do also like that he was wrong about Takeru, who ended up being the key to the plan's success. So his arrogance is justified, but in the end, he still needs to rely on his comrades.

Odd...I don't seem to remember there being any archers in Kiba Gaiden...it's the one where a certain dark knight talks about his origins right?
Hmms...guess I might have to rewatch it to find out...

that said...i like this episode...Takeru suddenly getting all serious and Rian's attitude...definitely like her more than Rekka and Jabi...

I really like archer and his way of talking and gestures. Something about him that is so badass. Hope I get to see more relationships developed between all three knights. Was wondering how he form halo to summon armor since bow isn't straight like sword or spear, interesting.


But...where does his arrow come from? It looked like it appeared out of nowhere...Is there an arrow bag hidden in his coat or what? Hmm...

Neat that his bow design does have blade on it, so he can melee if he have to.

Is it just me, or is Aguri heavily influenced by Ishida from Bleach?
The character's appearance is somewhat similar, and the mannerisms are very close.

Hmmm, maybe? Although it makes sense for a long-range fighter to tend to be more strategic, since they're a bit removed from direct combat. I mean, I wouldn't say all hot-headed swordsmen are based on Ichigo. Some things just go together really well.

It's not the strategic fighting, really.
It's more the arrogance and the insistence on working alone.

When I saw that scene with the moon and the archer, I immediately though of sailor moon " in the name of the moon, I shall punish you."
This was a good episode, love the nude fight scene.

The hideout reminds me of the hideouts in the original Assassin's Creed game. Takeru just wants a naked woman and doesn't even realize it could be related to a Horror.

I like how his armour was summoned. The character gives me a Quincy type of vibe.

Yeah he has similar hair, glasses, aloof attitude. We just need to see if he can sew at mach speed. Cool armor though. I like his bow has a blade on the outer edge so he can fight with it. And it's about time someone had more than a simple circle armor summon; I was noticing in Makai Senki which I was rewatching the other day that Rei was just doing a single circle summon instead of the two that merged he used to use.

if some stranger in a very odd outfit asked me about a naked girl, of course i would answer him!

Ryuuga gives the horror some clothes before killing her, some times it's the little things that can make something hilarious.

something tells me the horror did not think very well where it could hide...

I'm not sure if someone mentioned this but I finally rechecked Kouga's sword and it's different from Ryuga's. In the first episode's intro, it seemed like Ryuga gained Garo's armor through its' sword (which kind of makes sense). He literally pulled the transformed sword out of the ground in the animation thing. However, Ryuga's sword hilt/scabbard is white and not red like Kouga's. Just another little oddity/difference between the two Garos...

I hadn't noticed that. But then again, not all Garos are equal? Taiga's Garo had different colored eyes and a mantle.

I just like how they managed to combine tokusatsu and nudity
