I kinda speculated that this might happen, based on the theme of the first trailer, and it makes me a little more hyped for this film.

Older Raiga looks so much more like Kouga.

I dunno, it feels like a lack of confidence in fans. Like we know the movie will have to address Kouga being missing. I think Amemiya could have had faith that fans of his niche toku series will come and watch his movie. It just seems like it would have been a neat surprise to have Taiga's guest appearance, considering it's been so many years since he was a part of the series.

I'm more surprised we get Taiga.

See? Aw man, that would have been a cool surprise for the audience if they kept it close to their chest.

Worked well in the last Kouga movie.
