I can understand that children can be selfish but I really wanted to smack that kid, Kanta-kun, upside the head. Takeru was lying on the ground on the ground with visible injuries. The boy may not have understood the details but there is no way he didn't see that Takeru wasn't feeling bad. Despite this, the brat decides his problems are more important and yells at Takeru. To top it all off, he ends up thanking them for their help without apologizing for how he acted earlier.

They didn't pull any punches with making a secondary Rider that is easy to hate. The problem with going in so strong is that the writers now have to justify everything in a meaningful way so that it doesn't come across as conflict for the sake of conflict.

I'm surprised that that the Luminary Eyecons aren't bonded to a user. The ability to just take and use them like tools takes away from their spiritual significance. Strong emotions are needed to manifest them so it seems odd that a user doesn't need to have some sort of connection to them.

Strong emotions are needed to manifest them, but once they are manifested they are fair game. I sort of called this last week, this is going to be a battle between the two for a while stealing Eyecons from each other.

I've been waiting for Spectre. The dude is as badass as I'd thought. And his transformation sequence is much cooler, too. It seems he's got a handful of Eyecons of his own. I wonder if he has any more. And I'm also curious to see if he'll use ever some of Takeru's Eyecons at one point. I'm glad I didn't quit this series by Episode 3. Just waiting for the rest of the plot and Spectre's backstory to kick in now.

Really liked this episode, though the Paranormal-based story was quickly brought to a close once again.

That said, Kamen Rider Specter is awesome. I love the King Tut form and how it uses a Scythe! Specter's main weapon seems more gun-based compared to the sword-based weapon of Ghost.
I wonder if they used each other's Eyecons, would their weapon be different compared to how we seen it originally?

The ending seemed to hint that both parties are fighting for someone important.

Still really surprised how early the second Rider appeared. Hopefully the story doesn't drag out.

so, we have two different riders, and the eyecons aren't just the property of whichever rider the horn count matches? (as in Nobunaga and Tut both had Spectre's two horns, but Ghosts' so far all have his one horn. maybe Edison will have two if Spectre uses it?)

between that, the "who has what?" recap page at the end of the episode, and them not doing two episode arcs, who wants to bet we aren't done getting riders and, while we might not have nearly as many riders this time, we're going to get an attempt to recapture the magic that was Gaim?

I don't think horn count matters... There's probably a face plate for any of them to be any eyecon. Who knows maybe Spectre will die and Ghost will use his Eyecon.

I was awaiting for the episode of Spectre's debut as I saw his show at the end of 04 and thinking that he is much more of a badass rider than Takeru's whining self is.

I have a problem with Takeru. He in the last episode was so strong in helping people, yet another Rider competing with him for eyecons makes him rethink the walk in the park? I thought he would have stronger resolve to kick butt of Spectre and the Gamma as a Ghost Hunter, and I don't think the fautering and floundering is helping or is even needed. If anything, since he is supposed to have such a connection and interest of the luminary eyecons (and read up on them due to his little book) that he would be protecting them like children, instead of allowing himself to be bitched around.

The kid is a bit annoying. As if he was just pasted as the motive of the day. He doesn't even know that Takeru is already dead, and bad mouth's him for allowing the Gamma to get away that hurt his mom, yet doesn't feel compassion for the one immediately hurt? Japan has some backwards double outlook standards...

Spectre's weapon.... and the Ghost gadget Cobra phone... is a bit garish. Too much bright blue of Spectre's Hand weapon. Especially since the Gan Gan Saber is made so well (to a point, that Condor attachment is just as silly as the Cobra attachment). His bike is more badass looking than Ghost's too.

Waiting on the continual reveal of Spectre's story, and how he is related to the enemy behind Takeru's view.

I dunno about kid acting too much as a brat, he might have seen in what state Takeru is but remember that his mother got hurt during those actions. Since it's more bout her than his problem, it's not suprising that he doesn't stop his mouth, after all you can't expect too much from regular kids (which is something, Ucchii haven't heard bout).

Spectre looks awesome, fights awesome, got sweet weapon which for some reaosn got hand at the end. Also, making fist before transforming, sweet cliches ^^. So he does had Tut eyecon, and have connection to the main or second villain. Many questions, but its not all that bad with him coming so early to the show, since he gave Takeru a reality check and also tries to get his eyecons so its not just him disapproving of Ghost just becos.

Spectre is cool, but too much like other 2nd riders so far.

Since the villain guy seemed to know Spectre for some time, does that mean he doesn't have the 99 day time limit the same way? (Is he even a ghost?)

Doubt so since we don't see him turning incorporeal, besides his eyecon says "Spectre" instead of "Ore" so it's not his soul, like with Takeru case. That kind of takes from the conflict between them, unless Spectre is all out evul, and won't be redeemed.
