I actually rather like Kiva, but that's in part due to it being rather goofy in a more earnest way for me. Ninninger and now Zyuohger to a lesser extent just set off my dislike of shows with constantly screaming Reds that the show overfocuses on. A lot of my problems with Drive were on the consistently inconsistent treatment of Roidmudes and ethics.

On Ghost, I noticed the movie has another Evil Main Rider and the series has Evil Spectre. Between this and Drive having literally three evil Drives (Dark Drive, Gold Drive, and the ones from their HBV that was blatantly a copy of Blade vs Blade), what is with the clone/recolor spam in the last two years of Rider?

Also, Deep Spectre is rapidly turning into as much of a joke as Beast Hyper was. It's some forbidden power with a cost... that is eclipsed shortly after acquisition, doesn't let him take on the Ganmeisers and win (the villains at around the time he got it) in any meaningful way, and now he's tying or losing to a clone in his base form. At least Beast Hyper didn't induce apparent heart attacks.

WEll, it was better than the last episode.
But is it really true that the main writer for the show have been missing for ten episodes? What happened? o_O

Full Hibiki would imply that both Takuro Fukuda and Producer Takahashi had been replaced, though.. which neither happened since Fukuda's listed as having wrote episode 39 (and the summer movie) and Takahashi has been here the whole time.

On one hand, It's normal for writers to side-stance on the show for the summer movies and other stuff and on that same hand, there's nothing saying a head writer has to write everything him/herself.. on the other, 10 episodes is a strange amount. He might not be used to the length of toku shows coming off of J-dramas or just not want to put in the effort unless otherwise needed, anything's possible.

In the end, I don't think anyone but him can say for sure, though. He probably has his own reasons that we don't need to be privy towards.

As long as he had a good reason so can't I really complain about it.

Gosh, that was better than last episode. The duplicate Makoto gave the show some more potential, and they delivered with it here. Only complaint about that arc so far is that Deep Specter was way more powerful than the normal Specter, so at least the first battle would have been much easier/shorter than it actually was. But anyway, Makoto's back in character (the downside of this being his possible absence again), Akari's training scene worked really well, Onari did something useful, and Kanon... well, most of the main cast got good character moments. By this point Igor seems to have lost any motivation, though; he hasn't talked to Adel recently in my memory, and his ambition now seems to be... making others miserable? Not sure what he wants now. Alain's fight with Javert also seemed pretty strange, as I thought Javert wasn't interested in fighting anymore when we last saw him.

On a more random note, I think 22:23 beats episode 8 as the worst jump cut in the show.

The evil Makoto along with him being as storng as the deep specter form maybe will be something similar to the paladin ordeal in Final fantasy II/IV , maybe that is the cost, hes got to face his own evil in order to master the deep specer form.

Or maybe when fighting against his doppelganger he takes the damage he inflicts, so the second fight was harder because he had actually taken damage.

Akari is way more boyish than Kanon, so yellow is the better fit for her anyhow
I associate yellow with "moe" and "pink" with "Tsundere Tom boy" but I do stand corrected since those are their preexisting colors.

Takeru: Ghost Buster Red - "My life is burning bright!"
Makoto: Ghost Buster Blue - "" (Too cool for a catch phrase.)
Alain: Ghost Buster Green - "I will protect the treasures of this world!"
Akari: Ghost Buster Yellow (Edison) - "Science will show the way!"
Javert: Ghost Buster Black (Billy the Kid) - (will probably get a catch phrase if he turns baby face in a couple of episodes)
Kanon: Ghost Buster Pink (Himiko) - "??" (any suggestions?)
Onari: Ghost Buster White (Goemon) - "We must be spiritually prepared!"

I imagine the head writer has already penned the overall outline of the story. He might not feel that he needs to actually write a bunch of episodes.

Seems fun, for me it will go like this:

Takeru: Ghostranger Red - "Burning bright for the future"
Makoto: Ghostranger Blue - "For protecting the freedom"
Alain: Ghostranger Green - "And to keep the beauty of this world"
Akari: Ghostranger Yellow (Edison) - "We'll use our minds to light the path"
Javert: Ghostranger Black (Billy the Kid) - "And find the true meaning of life"
Kanon: Ghostranger Pink (Himiko) - "we fight for our loved ones"
Onari: Ghostranger White (Goemon) - "strong in body and spirit"
All: "We are the Ghostrangers."

It seems Makoto is pained every time he defeat his clone, I wonder if that means the clone is actually part of him.

Much improvement from last week's episode. Seeing Honami coming to terms with her friends was quite satisfying and heartwarming.

Though Alain's training was so he could learn how to jump together with the Birdmen (?????)

And a wild Javert appeared out of NOWHERE, after not being seen for more than 10 episodes, just to give Alain an opponent to fight for. Wut.

Why can't they make Alain fight the Ganzaimer who previously mocked him? Would make more sense than a random Javert.

I LOL-ed at Akari's third slap.

Mugen Ghost is so OP now the Ganzaimers felt like they're no more than normal Ganma.

Bye Honami. I will miss you :/

Omg. That episode feel little like a mess to me.

1. What was the purpose of Alain’s training? How jumping with the monsters can make him stronger? Don’t get that a little but idea of Alain’s training is rather admirable. What a shame. They can done this better. But still, it was fun to watch.
2. Come on! Javert deserve better treatment. He has potential to be more then “rabbit from the hat”. I hope that he will go forward as a Alain’s friend, or die trying to protect him?
3. Igor… what are you scheming? I don’t get what was his plan for? Honami hear others thoughts because her bracelet functioning wrong? That is really unsatisfactory conclusion of this plot.
4. Bills. Are you Igor puppet, or Akari friend or what? I’m lost, seriously.
5. So, Igor just sat down as a ghost and watching the show. Why Takeru didn’t saw him? Takeru sees ghost. So…
6. Makoto. Ohh, and this is going to be interesting. Maybe Deep Spectre power has side effect or something?

All in all, I think that this episode deserve 3 out of 5 stars. It’s true, that this is very random episode in many ways, but I also personally enjoyed it very much.

Oh. Makato is in a coma again. I wonder how many episodes he's going to be out for this time? Is his actor super busy or something? Because this would make it the 3rd time he's been out of commission this series.

Third time? This is only the second by my count. The first being when Specter was body-jacked by Necrom.
