Alt title: Run, Cubal, run like the big coward you were meant to be
Man, that was a pretty good episode for Jyuohger. Cubal's plan is pretty great for the most part. Seeing fake Genis carry off Micchan was a great shot. One of the fun things about writing Genis' dialogue is to make sure that it's ambiguous enough to cover both whatever situation Cubal sets up, but also basically Genis hinting that he totally knows what Cubal is up to. Which pays off here, since he totally knows what's up.
The only drawback for me was Yamato's freak out at the beginning. But I guess bad acting seems to be in this year.
Is that the same mansion the Toqgers were trapped in?
I guess the one flaw in Cubal's plan that I don't understand is why he had a fake Misao. All it did was mean the Jyuohgers would turn on him the moment they discovered that he wasn't real.
One final point is that I like the moment of hesitation that Amu and Tusk have. It seems like those two being the smart ones is one of the few good character things I can count on in this series, so I appreciate that.

Re: Jyuohger 41 released
Excellent episode! I only have one problem: Have there been any mentions of Sagittari Arc before now? It seems like they sort of pulled that out of nowhere. I wish they could've have mentioned it before now so it doesn't seem so random.
Other thoughts: I hope it is explained why Genis needed it in the first place. Does he feed on energy? I'm interested in this and hope they explain it instead of using it just for this episode's plot. I have a theory but I'll wait before elaborating on it.

I think they mentioned the ship's name a handful of times before.

Re: Jyuohger 41 released
I think Cubal made the fake Misao so he could be assured it would attack Genis, not to mention pushing the rest of the team to do so. He might have thought there was a chance the real Misao might chicken out and let the Jyuohgers run away before Cubal's trap was fully sprung.

Okay. It's probably something they casually mentioned before but I wasn't paying attention.takenoko wrote:I think they mentioned the ship's name a handful of times before.

Re: Jyuohger 41 released
I did a search in my scripts and it was mentioned exactly two times before. Episode 17 and 23. But uh-oh, in the previous iterations I spelled it SagitariArk. This time I went with Sagitari Arc, since it looks like a bow. Consistent???

Re: Jyuohger 41 released
This is the episode I was waiting for because we got to see Genis fight. I knew that his large size would make it hard for him to move, but his transformation was cool. I also liked how Kubar was willing to work with the Jyuohgers for revenge and his variety of monsters were pretty good. I knew right away that Misao wasn't in the mansion because it would be too simple and I think there is some level of pity in the Deathgaliens for Misao's powers being created by them.

Re: Jyuohger 41 released
I new that fake Misao was fake immediately since he was knocked out and in chains when they found him but just five minutes before he was calling out for them. Also, him being unscratched when the inner senshi all saw that he was a bloody mess earlier didn't help the deception. And, the fake Misao acted nothing like Misao, which should have caused Amu and Tusk to call shenanigans immediately rather than later.
On the other hand, I was on the edge of my seat the whole episode!

Holy guacamole. WHAT AN EPISODE THIS WAS. Although fake Misao was obviously fake from the get-go.

Re: Jyuohger 41 released
This was an exciting episode. I like Genis new for which sadly ruined Cubal's plans for revenge and made him run like a poor coward.
A cyborg pokémon who may or may not be a Kamen Rider.

Re: Jyuohger 41 released
I wonder if the Jyuohgers will find "real Naria" before Genis and have Naria turn baby face when the Jyuohgers don't waste her immediately?
Re: Jyuohger 41 released
So that's what he used it for... I was expecting a copy of whale.

Re: Jyuohger 41 released
This episode was exciting. Seeing Genis coming down and evolving to a new form was great. I highly doubt that he put much effort into that fight. Maybe he thought it would be a very easy fight even with Yamato as ZyouhWhale.

Re: Jyuohger 41 released
when they showed the wings last week, i half thought genis was going to reveal that he was divine or something, and playing with mortals was a past time. i wasnt expecting a new form all together.
the way cubal abused bang ray's powers was amazing.
but im curious about the azauld vs bado fight. and why did bado look at azauld and say "cube" like what did bado see? im just hoping that it was as plain as "oh this guy is mad of cubes!" ....

Maybe he was shocked that there was an enemy that looked like cubes that were similar to the Cubes he had.
