So given the relative success of Amazons both season 1 and 2 do you guys think this could mean more dark Kamen Rider Series could come to more streaming platforms?

I wouldn't be surprised. Toei has very few hits on their hands these days, they'd want to find alternative sources of income.

Do we know how successful it is?

Clearly it was successful enough that they came back and did a second season.
That being said, they're probably also able to measure the metrics differently because it was running on Amazon Prime, which is a pay service. I assume toy sales always come into play, but it seems far easier to look at the number of web hits something gets, as opposed to making a demographics estimate based on something like Nielsen (I don't know what the name of their equivalent service is)

Did it get brought back? Or were they planning two seasons all along? AKA "We only got to M in the alphabet"?

Right, so.... the flip side of that (and I know this doesn't really count, because it's a different studio) is that there's also things out there like the anime "Big O" that also had more story to tell, but got dropped because the support disappeared.

Could also be that they were originally planning 2 seasons, but Amazon can decide to end it after Season 1 if it wasn't going welltakenoko wrote:Did it get brought back? Or were they planning two seasons all along? AKA "We only got to M in the alphabet"?

Here's hoping they use the platform to push more gritty reboots themed around Showa series.

i would prefer to see more kamen rider series on the platform just like how the marvel shows are on netflix. With Kamen Rider on a different platform we could see better story and a bigger budget probably.
