S01 and S02 are getting compilation movies

Gundam still does it (Thunderbolt Season 2 became Bandit Flower), Evangelion did it at one point, Attack on Titan did it recently, why not this one??

S01: Awakening, out 5/5
S02: Death and Rebirth, out 5/12
Both of them are supposed to lure viewers who have not seen the show and hype them up for Final Judgment on the 19th.

Hey Toei, if you want these compilations to count, better add in bits of new content that'll build the plot of Final Judgment.

Some ideas:
-From Catastrophe: Neo VS Alpha and Omega.
-After Sigma's death, what happened to the belt??
-The financial downfall of Nozama and the rise of 4C.
-Mamoru finding the Original's limbs and starting his rebellion against the humans.
-Mizuki having nightmares about killing her brother.
-The scientist who could be creating that new type of Amazon that's gonna appear in Final Judgement.

I personally do like the concept of compilation movies, but it may not work well for this series.

Compilation movies are hit or miss. Usually miss. The only ones I like are ones that change a bit of stuff to make them worth watching, like the Zeta or Macross ones.

I'm still going to watch these regardless. Love me some Amazons.

Toei being dumbasses, kinda like how Sunrise being dumbasses when they released the Gundam 00 compilation movies, or any of the recent Thunderbolt episodes.

They make more money for recutting existing footage without having to do that much work.

Why are any compilation movies made in Japanese media?

Surely they would have mentioned if there was?

Which probably means it'd just be stuff from the cutting room floor so they don't have to bring back actors that aren't in the movie.
