Well, the official japanese page for characters had him as Kamen Rider Cronus; also from who the user was makes sense with the part of how "Cronus was imprisoned by his son". Also, even if he does posses time abilities it wouldn't be any different with Kamen Rider Odin; even though he was name after the Norse God his motif was never associated with the phoenix but with crows, although it still is a bird and wasn't mentioned that the God had time related abilities either while Kamen Rider Odin had the Time Vent card.Catastrophe wrote:The Chronos vs Cronus thing is going to cause another shitstorm isn't it?
Chronus would make sense for the time related thing, being the Greek god of time and all, but from memory Cronus was associated with the harvest in Greek mythology (which is associated with the passage of time). I also believe that the modern depiction of Father Time was developed based on the misinterpretation of Cronus as opposed to Chronus being associated with time.
I don't really give a shit, because they sound pretty much the same and I'll still understand who they are referring to, I just don't trust the offical romanisation/english spelling because Toei/Bandai has been known to use some pretty egregious engrish.

At this point, I wonder if the guy doing the English for Toei is just an idiot. Crews-aids for Crusades?
Kuronosu クロノス does get both results Kronus and Chronos from just a simple google search. It really feels like the guy just grabbed the first English spelling that he could find, since Chronos doesn't appear till the second page.
Looking at his profile on TV-Asahi, his shoulders are called Chrono Blade Shoulder (クロノブレードショルダー) and he wears the Chrono Gear Suit (クロノギアスーツ), . So unless Kronus can become Krono, that seems to throw that out the window.
I mean, (Spoilers for currently unreleased aired episode)

I assume that in the Japanese language there may not be a clear distinction between the two, or they decided to mash the two of them together for the basis of the rider.
I mean, I would have gone Chronos personally, but.

Well with the trailer subbed for the Brave and Snipe is out, recently the raw version of the second trailer is out for Para-DX and Poppy.
