Alt title - Hiiro Level Up

I liked this week's episode. This is sort of the guy that I was hoping Hiiro would be at the beginning. Cold on the outside, but secretly cares inside. His interactions with both Emu and the patient were spot on.

Also, M is a lot less annoying than Emu. Maybe we should let Momotaros drive full time.

I was very pleased with Hiiro in this episode. No 'Necrom Specter' forced to work for the enemy because he's using their weapon for an episode. Instead he straight up overpowers it through sheer willpower and owns it like a final boss!

M and his careless attitude made me just miss Emu even more. While I liked M as a fighter, relying on those power ups which Paradox has been using to help him overpower an enemy with a 27 level difference. I like the power ups and the effect they can play which is sadly underused EXCEPT by Paradox. So seeing them play a pivotal role in both fights was wonderful. But M himself was to me obnoxious in the worst sense, and I hope Emu can get him under control or at least eventually 'settle' into a two become one' taking the best of both.

Lastly...Dan is a total fail as a game designer. He doesn't even realize the computer he's sitting at is unplugged. As well as how instead of stealing the power of level 50 for himself going back to a gamer driver, he insisted on using Dangerous Zombie. What? Can he simply NOT use other gashats anymore because he's a zombie? He got his ass kicked for it by Paradox last episode but still went with dangerous zombie again instead of trying to become the 'Dark Lord' himself.

Lastly, YAY BRAVE FANTASY!!! I love that form! I love everything about it! It's everything I could have wanted for it and its debut, and then some! It's so 'Final Boss' it deserves it's own theme song! It won't get it but it deserves one!

To summarize, M was obnoxious, Dan was a doofus, Brave Fantasy is my fantasy come true.

Hiiro learning shit about playing games. Fun fact, that powerup is actually in the MAX game and inverts the controls for a while.

Now at least they have a level 50 to stop Para-DX from curbstomping them all the time. I wonder if the aftereffects of using it is going to be a plot point for Brave and Snipe sharing its usage.

Also, can't believe we got cockteased twice this episode with Hiiro transforming into Ex-Aid. What a letdown.

Another great episode, I love the contrast between Emu and M. Not just in personality, but in behavior as well. Even M's henshin was different. The only thing that stayed the same was the line "I'll clear this with no continues."
I love Brave's new form; it's what I wanted him to have when he was first introduced. Also, love that Ryuki reference when he used his cape like a drill.
I don't see Dan sticking around too much longer, but looks like we've got at least 5 more episodes of him. If they do kill him off, I hope whatever antagonist replaces him does a good job of it.

What if EMU is the Bugster? Not Gamer M? It makes sense right?

Oh boy, Hiiro looks like he's succumbing to the strain of transforming too much.
Hopefully a Bugster wasn't also just placed within him, but with ~29 more episodes to go, who knows what will happen.
Let's hope the episodes continue this streak of being better.

I find that a bit unlikely. That would break the premise of Riders being immune to the bugster virus.

It kind of adds up with what they were talking about a few episodes ago with him deciding to retire from gaming and go to med school, the timeline added up with the surgery they were talking about.

I think I like M better than Emu anyway, hope we see more of him.

I actually found this episode quite fantastic. No real points to complain about here. Maybe it's because I like Hiiro as a protagonist more than I do Emu, but I found a lot to like here. The monster of the week was great, the out-of-suit acrobatics were fantastic, and Hiiro felt likeable (dare I say heroic?) without being out of character. Great ending, great one-episode redemption for Emu without it feeling forced, and basically a great story overall. As well, perhaps the biggest implication given by this episode, if M's personality is indeed the Bugster's, is that his orange Mighty Brothers XX clone is the Bugster acting on its own. Overall, a definite 5/5.

So now, Emu/M can switch back and forth but not at will?
