Say, shouldn't the translated part of the episode tittle should be "To The Max"? Also, doesn't closing the Gamer Driver supposed to be translated as Gacchoon?

So, we switched up the tone of the show at around episode 12-ish, when all 10 original Gashats were in rotation and Dangerous Zombie first became a thing. now we're at 23 and have a level 99 form, and Genm is dead.

Anyone else feeling like this might end up being a shorter season? maybe this isn't the halfway point, but 2/3 of the way done?

"The Maximum Dead or Alive" (but with Max to fit with the episode content). It's pretty much the same.

「ガッチャーン」\N「ガッチャーン!」

And nope, it's the same. Gacchoon is for the Buggle Driver.

Dead or Alive to the Max would be pretty good.

The scene that maximum suit taking Mighty in reminds me how guyvers gigantic mode works....... Yes I know it is a megaman reference with power armor that walks in some stages but I can't get rid of Guyver's scene when I was watching how maximum works :P

I'm doubtful that they'd pull a Decade and make the series that short at this point with the amount of toys they still have to sell

More to the point, I believe the fans were aware Decade would be a short series pretty early on.

If anything, I feel like it'll have more of a tonal shift like the 2nd half of Gaim. It won't be attenuated at all.

Decade was never cut in half. It was always intended to have a shorter run.

So first of all, I have to wonder if they were knocking off of me:

I really liked what happened here. In Tokusatsu, it feels fairly rare for heroes to go for mercy, so I really like how it works here. The ending of the previous episode makes the fact that Emu still wasn't willing to kill him even stronger. Replacing villains can have some really problematic results, as Ghost's dumping Alain, the Emperor, and Igor as competent villains really left the replacement feeling pretty blank, but it's quite possible this will do a good job with it.

I'm not a huge fan of Maximum Mighty X's form. It seems really immobile, and whenever there isn't any CGI, the poses look kind of awkward. That said, I do like the overall concept, where the protagonist is easily powerful enough to beat anything in his way, but is held back by his own code rather than powerful villains. This could lead to some very interesting fights, even if villains powerful enough to beat him are fairly inevitable.

I also wonder what they're going to do with Emu. He's like Neo from the Matrix. If he can just reprogram whatever he want, what's to stop him from just stopping any other Bugster that shows up?
