The guy who played a temporary CEO of GEMN corporation and the human identity of a monster based on dating sims had a terrible secret exposed where he was having an affair with a fan while he lied that he was single since 2017. The affair ended around May 2019. Kote initially denied it until he came clean hours later.

I figure he'll get a slap on the wrist, but for some who've watched Ex-Aid, this seems to be ironic because of Lovelica/Amagasaki's MO.

Isn' this kind of thing really bad in the Japanese entertainment industry, or do you only get dropped if you are an idol?

Daisuke Namikawa's extramarital affair was exposed back in 2017, but he's still active to this day. Kote might be able to work again.

Depends on how bankable the entertainer is. Big stars might get away with it, but smaller ones will have their contracts quietly cancelled

Namikawa is a pretty prolific voice actor, so that's probably why he got away with it.

I remember the actor that played Sasword got dumped by his agency because he kept banging other actresses and I don't think he ever got picked back up, so it might be related to popularity.

Yuusuke Yamamoto returned to theater acting this year & posting on his Instagram of his DJ outings, along with establishing his own music agency with two members in it.
