Funjita Ray is 28 while Aoshima Kokoro is 17? It's hardly twice her age. It's only an 11 year age gap.

I keep forgetting Ray was what, 14 or 15 when 555 was airing, so he would have only been 16 or 17 during GAROs first season.

Anyway, another pretty great episode. Probably my least favourite so far but I still give it a 5.

I was referring to the age of the characters.

Wait, how old are the characters supposed to be? They never explicitly say in the show.

Sorry, I misremembered something - Rei (un-aged) only appeared in a flashback with a young Raiga. I'm just confused by the order of events.

Rei's hairstyle suggests to me he's much older than in his previous appearances, though.

Yeah, since their ages aren't said in the show, I can only guess from the actors' ages.

'Old' Rei in Hana was done with the pube beard as well. I believe the intent was for it to make him appear older but just kind of reinforced how young he is.

Well, I already feel horribly embarrassed for bring this up in the first place.
So in conclusion, all we know is that Dragon Blood happens after Makai Senki (as Rei and Rekka have already met).
It's a spin-off so it doesn't matter how it fits in with the Raiga storyline. There will be no mention of Garo at all, anyway.

I didn't really think about it until I read Takenoko's opening post, but this really has been the most consistently good series of Garo thus far. Each installment has been enjoyable, and they've done a good job of pacing out the main arc.

Just a random pet peeve of mine, I really REALLY hate that effect they used in Alice's flashback. It's like that Photoshop/Instagram filter that's supposed to make your photo look like a cartoon, but I think it just makes it look weird and ugly. That's just me though.

I was rolling my eyes when it looked like Alice was going to escape because the bartender was distracted by the girls... I was actually impressed when they actually made a serious effort to keep her in place, but she genuinely managed to outsmart them. (Can Silva not barf up a tracker ring like Zaruba can though? That was my first thought.)

You can add me to the list of people who wishes for a clear timeline for all the Kouga/Raiga stuff, although I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, that ambiguousess is what gives them power to do stuff like Makai Retsuden. They basically can tell any stories they want as long as they keep the details fuzzy enough and don't outright contradict themselves. Hence, Rekka meeting Rian, etc.

Amemiya is going to take the Garo timeline to the grave or doesn't even know himself how everything fits together.

Also I'm going to apply what I said about Yukihime from Gold Storm and apply it to Kurehi. She was created by Bakura to be a Madou Tool sex doll but decided to forgo giving her a voice after he lost his right hand so he puts her to work as a waitress.

An age is just a number gentlemen

Timeline is as bad as the Legend of Zelda
