This is my thought process while watching this:
Red- looks cool
Orange- has a tail...
Blue- A FURRY!
Black- He's so big!
Gold- Jin is back!
Silver- And J is too! Wait wrong sentai
Green- has a hairstyle... at least it's not like Miss America from Battle Fever... or Ex-Aid for that matter
Pink- has wings
Yellow- has a very pointy visor

Overall I love the designs and how individualized they are. I hate when the only difference a team has in design is just a different color and a subtle visor change. I'm just curious about if there will be an additional ranger(s) since the team is already big and 9 is in their name. Either way, this is a huge team to juggle and I'm guessing every member won't be involved in every single fight (Geez think about that roll call).

I'm a bit worried that the large number of regular cast to start will be handled poorly. Toku is pretty bad at developing characters when there's a large cast. Like GranSazers was a pretty good example where they spread themselves too thin and ended up having some underdeveloped stories and characters for it.

i think it's zodiac based, 'cause the red is lion, the orange scorpion, green is gemini, blue cancer, black taurus, yellow sagittarius and gold.... capricorn?

I've seen a lot of people saying this, but it feels like riderwikia levels of "neo-heisei" "coincidentally" conjecture.

What is it in the short clips that suggests blue represents cancer? Cancer is a crab. And how does a green chameleon make you think of Gemini, the twins? A centaur archer pulling a bow is conveyed by what, exactly, to make you think yellow is that? At best, you could have at least said Pisces, which is at least a fish [Yellow being from the Kajiki system and having that pointy long marlin nose]. And Gold makes you think of a capricorn goat why? He is literally called Balance and has balance scales on his head, like Libra.

So the few which COULD feasibly be Zodiac-based, you don't even get right. The rest is assumptions made on the basis that a few fit.

Green Chameleon represents the Chamaeleon constellation, not Gemini. Yellow is the Dorado constellation, not Sagittarius. Blue is Lupus, not Cancer. Silver is Ophiuchus. Pink is Aquila. These are not signs of the zodiac. They are just several of the 88 modern constellations. When 5 of your 9 aren't Zodiac, it's a tenuous link.

I want to start off by saying that I've been wanting a female green for a long time now, so I'm really looking forward to that. Now all we need is a team with a male pink.

Wow, nine to start off? I thought for sure we were being shown the end-game. I wonder if Toei has been spoon-feeding this to us? Ever since Gokaiger ended, they've been trying some new stuff with sentai. After Go-Buster failed to sell toys, they made Kyouryuger a 10-ranger team, and it was a big hit. Maybe they noticed how popular the bigger team was?

After that we ToQger, the rainbow sentai, where they introduced a 7th in the returns movie. At first I thought this was just to finish the rainbow theme. Then in Ninninger a green shuriken is teased in series, to be used in the returns movie. Now in Jyuohger we have JyuohBird appear, bringing us one step closer to a consistent 7-ranger team.

The jump to 9 here is a bit of an escalation, but it makes me think that we're going to start seeing teams of 7 going forward.

as i said, i'm just guessing, because

blue = visor looks like a crab
yellow = the pointy visor could represent kind of bow and arrow
gold = you're right, it's libra after looking it closely
green = the visor reminds me of the sign gemini

i'f i'm completly wrong, sorry for that, 'cause i'm no expert in astrology and seeing that some of them have a kind of zodiac-sign i was thinking that all of them could represent a zodiac... what would makes sense as a team

I didn't know either. I was just guessing based on the names. Like Shishi is obviously Leo. Sasori is Scorpio. Tenbin is scales so Libra. Oushi is bull, so taurus.

Ookami's/wolf not a horoscope. Snake charmer/Ophiuchus not a horoscope. Chameleon not a horoscope. Washi/eagle not a horoscope. Swordfish/Dorado, not a horoscope.

Yeah, 5 is more than 4, but if the first 4 are horoscopes, you can see why one would think that there might be a link.
