Gobusters did sell badly, but again I think for the same reason Timeranger did. Show was drastically different and not many collectables. Kids don't like them but older viewers (ie most of us) do.

There is a reason there is a dramatic blowback after garbage years. Gaoranger after Time, Kyuoranger after Go-bus, this after the previous 2 series.

Seems like this episode was trying to speak directly to us in trying to endear us to Lucky, but it didn't really work for me. I thought they were trying to say that Lucky makes his own luck through hard work (which doesn't explain how meteor showers appear where it's convenient for him, but whatever), but saying his luck comes from positive thinking really doesn't change the fact that it's still stupid luck.

Unlike most of you, I thought it was hilarious that the ending theme and dance actually exist in the world of the show. I also like idea of a power-up armor being alive and refusing to go away just because its wearer demorphed. I kinda wish all the Rangers could take turns wearing Pega-san as he helps them overcome some personal obstacle, but I'm guessing he's yet another Red-only power-up. (Oh, I'm also glad to see that I'm not the only person OCD enough to be annoyed by the creases and peeling laminate on that prop.)

Stinger isn't a very good spy, revealing him to the enemy like that while not making sure to kill them. They should give him smaller tasks that he can realistically succeed in while he's on his own. Also, I'm surprised there wasn't any comeuppance for him skipping the dance training, I thought there'd be a comedy bit at the end where he comes back to find he's out of step with the rest of the team.

Balance suffers the same fate that Naga did last week, having NOTHING to do despite being in this week's roster. I probably need to stop harping on this and just accept that this is how it's going to be, since the A plot tends to be taken up by Lucky + another Ranger + maybe Shou, and Stinger will take the B plot, that doesn't really leave much room for anyone else to do anything impactful in 20 minutes.

Billiard Kyuutama was amusing but ultimately waste of time?

Dance segment irritating but Naaga clearly has some dance skills.

If we get a Kyulette that doesn't throw out Red's Kyuutama I will probably die of shock.

Assuming we use 8 Kyuutama, the probability of Red getting picked by the Kyulette (for all rounds) is as follows -
1 round = 62.5%
2 rounds = 39.1%
3 rounds = 24.4%
4 rounds = 15.2%
5 rounds - 9.5%

Probability factor will go down if Stinger's Kyuutama gets added to the mix.

I want to see an episode where Lucky has all his luck reversed. Take the luck episode from Boukenger and the tanabata episode from Kyoryuger and watch Lucky fall apart. It doesn't even have to be an enemy that causes the misfortune either so long as everyone else is sitting pretty and Lucky is in the fetal position.

Dropping Hammy for another Lucky Luck stuff really hits me hard in this episode.

So it seems like the whole episode that allegedly builds up Hame's character is focused on why Lucky's the acting leader anyway, and there's no sign of Garou having the character he had in episode one, let alone Hami turning into a strong character in her own right. 2/5; I thought the dance was entertaining, and the squid design in particular was really cool, and there was a bunch of points that could have turned out really well.

I might as well root for Jark Matter at this point.

Come to think of it, maybe viewing the show as a reversal-of-fortune tragedy of the fall of an empire could also make me enjoy it a bit more.

I feel like at some point this show stopped being about the live action actors....now I watch this to hear Madakko say tako repeatedly and the occasional washi pink delusion.

If only Stinger was the leader and Hammy's character wasn't a mashup of a highschool male's fantasies ....

Ugh, what kind of guy had a girl like Hame in his fantasy? She's so shallow and annoying. There's like literally zero positive traits about her. She's whiny, annoying, gets angry easily, kind of dumb. Is she even that good a fighter or a ninja? I honestly can't remember.
