Alternate Title - Clip show

I was enjoying the episode’s premise, even the flashback so the Indabee could point out when he and Spada “met,” but then the episode turned into a clip show. Is this a new sentai tradition - mid-season recap episode? I can handle the New Year’s recap episode, because it usually helps to tie everything together as sentai pushes into its final arc, but more than one a year is ridiculous. Especially when we're in the middle of two major plots. Kids are not that stupid.

I will admit that the flashback accomplished its goal in that I had completely forgotten about Pegasus KyuuTama until they mentioned it in a flashback. What a waste of a power-up.

Putting aside my irritation, I’ll give them credit for one thing - there were quite a few moments (mostly tied to Tsurugi and the Commander) that made me laugh. More of that, please.

I.... kinda enjoyed this episode? I mean the clip show part was shit but the characters actually interacting with each other was pretty funny. Some actually good lines in there. And there was mercifully very little Lucky.

What the shit Toei? Why the fuck was Raptor stuck on the fucking ship to fucking fix the fucking computer and didn't even get a fucking fight scene in? Are you aware of the term "sausage fest"? CUT THIS SHIT OUT.

I know we're never gonna get a female lead and hoping for 50-50 gender ratio is less likely than the second coming of the Great Prophet Zarquon but for fuck's sake, you guys have been really fucking sexist recently and it's really pissing me off.

Well, Raptor is the only one that could fix the ship, but since they are lost in time, it's not like they were in hurry. Maybe they were afraid of the ship being destroyed by a dinosaur.

It was quite a decent episode for a clipshow. A clipshow done right in other words.

I think it's been a long time that the fodder had a focus episode. I always thought the Indabee were robots not actual aliens. It was pretty funny that they speak like Pokemon due to the mask.

The Commander tries to be bad-ass but his poor back screws him over. He needs AbareBlue to fix his back.

Clip shows are a necessary evil to save the budget for hopefully more extravagant episodes in the future.

Random Question: does anyone know why Naaga's actor is not credited in the opening sequence? I find it weird that among the actors/actress, he's the only one without a name in the OP. (Voice actors/actress aside)

Do they have credits for episodes when the character doesn't have a main character role? He doesn't appear except in the past episode clips.

Well at one point earlier today, if we just had another 2 we would have had a perfectly flat score curve. But now the 1s have it.

Anyhow, I dislike the mere concept of a clip show. Why are you telling me things I already know? That said, there are bad clip shows and then there are good clip shows, and this is in the latter. Between the stupid clips the Dabe and the plot around them was amusing and the humor was genuinely done well. We even got an Akibaranger-like explosion gag, and a helmetless roll call of the heroes. A clip show can never be great on its own, because you're wasting time and not accomplishing anything, but I can think of worse ways to not get things done.

I just really, really hope that after 2 years, this isn't a recurring feature for Sentai. I do not see why they need a clip show after 27 episodes in. The plot has not been very complex, to say the least.

If it's anything like the US, then it also likely means he didn't get paid for this episode.

I was enjoying the episode at first too then when the realization came that it was a clip show, I started to zone out. I'm glad I didn't zone out completely because I lost it when Stinger had the Indabee in a sharpshooter, or as when Sting used it - the Scorpion Death Lock.
