Alt title: Lucky Ego-Stroking Episode Part 36
Didn't care about the episode because I don't care about Lucky.
Kukuruuga is a disappointing last mini boss since we don't have much history with him. It's hard to be mad at him for something he did to Lucky as a child. It's hard to get emotionally invested if the main character doesn't get upset or seem to care.
Lucky's dad looks like the worst burger king. It looks like they bought his props at a 99 cent store.
At least we finally see Hame put her invisibility skills to good use.
During the mecha fight, I don't understand why Garou swapped out his left arm slot for Kotarou. Kotarou didn't do anything except punch Kukuruuga. In a show where your mecha limbs can be almost anything, I can't really recall them using the swap mechanics outside of episode 1.
1 out of 5 Alright Luckys! It's cool that they added really nice drawings of the constellations to all the attacks, but what a waste of a week break if this is the episode we're returning on.
Next episode seems like it'll be much better since it at least feels more thematic to the kind of show KyuuRanger is.
Edit:
Spoiler
Where does Episode of Stinger fit in? At the end, Champ runs off berserk, but he's here and fine in this episode.
