Looks like Gomi Ryoko is in charge of WashiPink and presumably Raptor's suit. She was TOQ 3, Shironinger, and Sela/JyuohShark.

Re: KyuuRanger Space.42 released
was it just me, or was anyone else reminded of mazinger z when they saw the combination vice shogun?
please stop with kyutamajin!
i guessed last week that Outori was likely coming to and end of his mortality. he likely used up his life span reviving lucky back in the past era episodes.

Considering the writer was involved in recent KR it makes sense to see at least one of the team sacrifice himself, and Otori's end was already predicted as you describe. However, it may also be a partial homage to TimeRanger, considering the symptoms and his keeping it a secret.midorininger wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2017 12:57 pmi guessed last week that Outori was likely coming to and end of his mortality. he likely used up his life span reviving lucky back in the past era episodes.
Why are they bothering to even use their mecha when Caesar was powerful enough to knock the sho-gestault all the way to Pittsburgh in one hit?
What''s really sad is Red's actor isn't bad, but the character copies just about every flaw from Ninninger. I wonder what would happen if those two Reds ever met...
And even worse, this is the THIRD time in what... five episodes?... that Lucky had to face off against his father. First the fake king on his home planet, then the illusion, and now puppet-dad. I know the acing on this show is all over the place, but that's no excuse to feed us the same plot material in the same amount of time it takes to resolve every major plot arc in this show!
I gave it a 4, but only because it was a gaijin-heavy episode, and those are always fun.

Well no wonder it is similar. I guess I overlook the small details as who wrote and direct the episodes. It make sense that the stories have the similar pattern. Well, I admit that KyuuRangers aren't that bad either. Except that it does not entail (it's not like they did not entail but has constraints to do so) entirely every character's relationship with each other. But not everyone has that in the story. like the list below.Go-On Macaroni wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2017 7:33 amToQger/Shinkenger both had much of the same staff (head writer in Yasuko Kobayashi and a head producer in Takaaki Utsunomiya) so, of course, they'll feel similar.hiro9796 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2017 5:43 pm
I admit that is true. Take ToQger/Shinkenger for example:
1. Six members in total including sixth ranger.
2. Each had at least two episodes focused on them. Simultaneously, those episodes also describes everyone’s development as well as closing the gap between other members and deepens their friendship.
More or less, I think that’s the words and sentences to describe the how good the series that has six members, excluding the extra ranger since their screentime is the shortest.
Checking TvN wiki, it seems Mouri was a sub-writer on OOO, Go-Busters, Gaim (3 of which were co-written with Gen Urobuchi ), Drive, Ninninger, and Ghost. Now being sub-writer doesn't mean automatically bad (since writers like Toshiki Inoue and Naruhisa Arakawa put out good shows despite starting as such) but Mouri's an example of it not working. At least, I feel that nothing in this show has felt anything beyond playing it safe and it's a shame. No one from Mouri to the Producers to the higher-ups seemingly wants to do anything memorable with this show.
Same reason First Rider had 98 episodes, times were different back in the 70s and they weren't restricted to a strict toy schedule like the shows have nowadays. They still had toys, true, but there were no reruns or physical media for it so they just wanted to make a good show every week.Well, I would like to complain why Gorenger/Goranger had 80+ episodes despite not having any extra ranger or sixth ranger.
