Reasoning behind some of the Best Matches

Post by CaptainTalon449 »

So I get NinninComic because naruto is in manga and I get KeyDragon because Ryuga holds the key to unlocking Sento's memories but as for the rest of the best matches most of them seem completely random stuff like lion and vacuum cleaner or rocket and panda

I don't think there is actually supposed to be a theme.

I remember one guy making connections only to get ridiculed by everyone else.

There probably wasn’t supposed to be a theme

Pretty sure it's just putting a bunch of words on a dartboard and throwing at random.

I don't understand what a lot of the animal forms contribute either. I get that a rabbit hops/jumps around a lot, but lion, panda, and gorilla just seems to make his right arm bulky. And ninjas and keys aren't even animals.

W's system work because you could always figure out what each side contributed (except for Joker, maybe?). Right side was something elemental and left side was something physical. Simple and easy to understand.

Joker had stronger hand to hand capabilities.

I think the reason people try and find meanings behind all these forms is that if you go on the trivia section of a page on either the Rider or Sentai wiki, there is often a lot of contrived reasons for homages and references to other media that people want to make.

The best matches don't really make a lot of sense thematically, but neither did Ws. Its a children's show. I don't think they really have a deeper meaning in mind when they create this stuff.

I guess I just liked W's more since there was a clear weapon difference with the left side. So you can get a fire gun or a magic gun, versus a wind rod or a fire rod. The chaotic nature of Build's forms just make them seem more random. Like someone said, if you have one form that lets you fly, then why wouldn't you default to that for maximum mobility?

Yeah. And NinComic seems to have close combat covered. I don't mind the mix and matching, but some of the forms don't really seem to contribute that much.

I could not have it typed it better in words myself.

If there are no consequences or strain with the flying form, that would be a much more preferred way of just about anything dealing with mobility.

But you know.... Mary Sue and Gary Stu says hi.

And.... well if one is going for a "theme" it means that "scientists" do not make for good "engineers" in consideration of their tools....

Build... builds a haphazard architecture of a Rider system.

Unlike W, which was a mix of body (Shotaro) and soul (Phillipe), Build mixes Biology (right bottle) with Technology (left bottle), though that still doesn't explain the comic bottle, unless it's supposed to represent the pen... which explains why he uses a sword with drawn panels on it. The pen is mightier than the sword, after all. (Groan here.) Moving on, yeah, most matches don't really make sense. What do a lion's claws have to do with... not the claws. Think about it. What else do vacuums pick up, besides dirt? Silly logic, but it works for this show.

RabbitTank
GorillaMond
HawkGatling
NinninComic
RocketPanda
FireHedgehog
LionCleaner
KeyDragon
Kaizoku Resshaa
OctopusLight

It's just so confusing. They don't even consistently keep the biological side on the same side in the naming scheme. Are Ninjas and Pirates natural?

How are diamonds and comics technological?

I think the best way to say it is organic and inorganic seeing as Pirates and Ninjas are somewhat artificial things made by man and diamonds and comics being something artificial. The naming scheme on the other hand is an I don't know

But you just said both sides in that situation artificial, despite saying the scheme being organic versus inorganic.

Pirates and Ninjas would count as organic. Trains and Comics would be inorganic.
