So this episode's kanji means contract. But I think it's a good episode... 'cause Zaruba is back.
If I look at animated Madou Ring Zaruba, why didn't he open up his mouth while speaking? It disappoints me.
And I've never seen that Madou Ring devours the flame before.
The Horror's design seem okay to me.

I think it's cooler and more realistic how Zaruba's mouth doesn't open while talking in the anime. It makes it feel more ominous and magical. Funny how I say "realistic" when the anime is significantly over the top with the action and Horror monsters compared to the live-action series, lol.
And yeah, I don't think I've ever seen Zaruba absorbing fire but I do remember him spitting out fire which was totally new in Episode 4 of MAKAI NO HANA.

I remember that. Kaoru uses Zaruba to spit out fire against the Horrors in episode 20 of Garo.Victormaru wrote:I do remember him spitting out fire which was totally new in Episode 4 of MAKAI NO HANA.

And in Red Requiem he did it too. But I think that he is eating flames because it is inga, and he is and horror, good horror, but horror anyway. And that's probably why he has that gag on the mouth that stops him from talking, to absorb the flames and save León from being consumed by his own inga (well, we know what happens in later episodes now).
