In that tearful ending, I think Lara is either dead or unconscious... and her parents were probably eaten by Horror Grand Magus.

By the way, here's a trivia, some Garo episode 17s has a tearful ending, like in the original, Kaoru got away from Kouga and cry louder when she realize she's a bait for Kouga hunting Horrors.
