Ratings Poll: Garo -Guren no Tsuki-

For me, this Heian era Garo anime series is kinda worst. No character developments, lack of writings. Not satisfied at all. And for the epilogue, like I said: no character focuses on other characters. Defeat Rudra, kill Ashiya Douman and *whala* the end. *disappointing*

(I wonder why is Aikawa Shou leaving the work after the first half of the series)

That's all I can say and for that, I give it a disappointing 1. (And Tohokushinsha / MAPPA, please don't make more anime anymore. It's kinda worse to have anime writers like Inotsume Shinichi, Murakoshi Shigeru, others)

I agree that this is the worst Garo series. It has some really strong points in the way it plays with japanese history, myth and legends, reinterpreting those characters and introducing them into the Garo universe.

But that's it. Horrible character development, the animation was way beyond Honoo no kokuin...

But I don't agree on MAPPA stopping the production of Garo anime. Honoo no kokuin was great and Divine flame looks great too. I just want them to do things correctly, without rushing production, and that can be applied for both anime and live action.

I think the problem was that no one was really hyped for the first season and it turned out to be really good. This one started of pretty good and didn't really go anywhere.

I'd be up for more animated Garo, but only if it has the quality of the first season again.

THIS IS THE WORST GARO SERIES FOR ME.

here's the thing, for me the main point of Garo must be The story & Chara development. and both of it turns ot to be very very very very BAD. and the ending, BLAH. i think no point in saying it coz it is might be also the worst ending & nothing told.

agree with all of you above. This is turns out to be such a dissapoitment after a VERY GOOD 1st anime series Honoou no Kokuin.

conclusion = some of the design & begining of the premises is quite ok, but as the series go on, it tnever goes anywhere i think.

ah btw, does anybody here watch Divine Flame already??? how is it?

1.33? I mean, it's just three votes, but what happened here? Was the series that bad?

AWFUL take, really2 awful. especially the ending.
some episodes & some premises is good like in the episodes which might decide person turn to Inga or not. thats meaningful a lot for me. but for the whole series... it is a FLOP.
BEGIN so so until 13 episodes, then i still have high hope for the 2nd part, and thats the problem, 2nd part didnt really goes anywhere & suddenly some chara just die out of nowhere or suddenly become a horror and just go to the trash in 1 episodes.

not reccomended to watch if people only have limited time. Really2 a disappointment after the GOOD 1ST ANIME, HONOOU NO KOKUIN

I'm probably never going to see it. If someone wants to summarize the ending in a spoiler box, I'm curious as to what's wrong with it.

I agree that the ending was weak.

Ending Spoiler
Spoiler
Big Horrors defeated and big bad kind of redeemed out of almost nowhere as he dies in the end, and then, nothing, no epilogue. Last episode is about how Kintoki became that small and how he became Raikou's aid.

But I liked the Seimei thing and Raikou's actor (who is the same as Raiga's) tend to have the ability to make his characters bypass the Heart Destruction form of Garo. Kind of fun when you think about it.
Except for the ending, I wouldn't say that it was a bad show.

It is easily explained without spoilers. Not only the final battle feels rushed and solved with a Deux ex machina, te problem is that they literally abandon some plot threads. Plot thread that they've been kept until the last episode, characters that seemed important... And then, the final boss is defeated and all those plot threads are totally forgotten.

They had the opportunity to give some insight in the extra episode for the blurays, and instead they dedicated the episode to a secondary character (though this episode is not bad).
