I like it when they play with new ideas. And make no mistake, this is a new direction for Sentai. I've seen it compared to Hurricanger, that series wasn't centered around 2 conflicting teams. It essentially was just a play on the Dark Rider or Dark Ranger concept, just with one more. If they can commit to the split focus, and hold that through the year, this is the kind of shakeup that could push Toei to keep being creative, instead of jumping back to safe concepts. Safe isn't bad. Some of my favorite series played it safe. But I think these shows are at their best when they go a little nuts. Cops and Robbers feels whimsical in a great way. I'm optimistic.

I'm trying to remain optimistic, but it's really hard.
My biggest concern is having "we need to put aside our differences and team up against this common foe" happening over and over.
But hey, I had low expectations for ToQger and high hopes for Ninninger, so what do I know.
