I think Kogure is simply being practical by letting them keep the piece. If they have the item, they can be better thieves and get more of the collection back.

Did we ever figure out what past Sentai this Lupin Collection is a reference to? It kind of looks like a pink ranger's boot. And the French quote means "to move like lightning".

Somebody earlier in the thread they think it's Pink Flashes Prism Boots.

Although I know it will never happen because of the Toys/Power Ranger connection, but would the typical Super Sentai show be just as good without the Monster of week super-sizing and without the giant combining robot to fight it?

Take those out and it's not really Sentai, is it?

It's more Kamen Riders thing.

It is kind of formulaic though. I liked how Go-Busters mixed it up by having the giant robots and the normal monster being different.

In Gokaigers the giant robot was their pirate ship as opposed to combining mecha.

But, if they have to have the monsters have a second life, why not instead of being supersized they get a new power? (It would cost more, I know.) The MOTW could duplicate, gain the ability to spit fire/ice/glue/etc, clock up, become invisible, or become impervious to physical attacks. Then the super sentai could combine their gimmicks into different formations to beat the more powerful foe. That way you can still sell toys. Also, the show's Naria could study the Sentai and try to figure out which new abilities worked well or fell flat.

The whole point of sentai is that it follows a certain formula. Change the formula and you've basically got a different show. Not saying it's not an interesting idea, but it's not sentai.
