OP Lyrics question

Post by DidiZorba »

Just a random thought I had. We know that Lupin VS Pat OP is a mix of both teams theme songs (Spin the Dial for Lupin and Chase You Up! for Pat), and it seems like TVNihon's translation for the OP is the lyrics for each of them individually, like:

[Lupin lyrics] ... [Lupin lyrics] = Meaning A
... [Pat lyrics] ... = Meaning B

But, when put together and read in the order of the OP mix, does the overall meaning of the lyrics change (like little puns or literal changes of meaning) or do they only make sense separately? As in:

[Lupin lyrics] [Pat lyrics] [Lupin lyrics] = Meaning C

Pretty much they only make sense separately, putting them together would be gibberish for the most part.
