Alt Title: Another fine episode of Kamen Rider Two Decades

I can't believe how boring that Time Mazine fight was, at least the rest of the episode is pretty good.

What? Why is Sougo's ghost in the past? Can ghosts travel through time? Does this show have any rules? Why are they able to touch Sougo??? He can transform too????

Wait, why do they remember some things when the time lines change but not others? Anyway, something about the way Takeru says "I'm a Kamen Rider" felt really good to me.

I'm so happy that Tsukasa literally eats Sougo's lunch. Decade's grown pretty powerful here. Now he can control his dimensional powers, which includes time travel? Amazing.

Tsukasa isn't in this episode as much as I wish he was, but he's still leaving his prints all over it. Takeru getting to transform and fight was cool too. It's nice that they were able to save the brother and stuff.

Someone should turn that brother and sister into that Folger's coffee commercial.

First, why does Geist give Zi-O the Decade Watch? It doesn't make any sense for his character. If you're going to do that, have Decade give the watch directly to Zi-O or have Geiz drop the watch. There are so many ways to not write characters acting against their nature.

Second, man does Decade Armor look ugly. "We ran out of money to design ultimate form armors, so here's this combination suit instead. Enjoy!"

And so, our young king devises a scheme to turn Another Ghost’s life upside down, by having Takeru save Makimura. Just that, if nothing else. Despite Ghost and Specter’s efforts, Heure restarted the deal without the sadistic condition.

The Decade Ride Armor seems eh and recycling the Sparkling and Grateful suits is OK. I can hope they can bring back the Faiz Accel suit and/or Blade's Jack suit.

Masahiro’s bringing his A-game for this episode. He disregards Hora’s help and then shuts up Woz after he hams up Sougo’s upgrade. He curbstomped Geiz and eats Sougo’s dinner, Jules style. Hmm… It would be risky to keep Decade alive. If he turns all the Riders' Ride Watches into blanks, it’ll spell a problem for the Demon King.

Alright episode. Hope the next one should shake Sougo.

The sounds of the 14.5 on the dropbox seems delayed. Is it an upload problem (since I checked with the dropbox streaming and by downloading the file) or does it come from the original file?

The same way Takeru was a Ghost and yet he was able to touch others when his body is no longer transparent and visible to others. And he is able to transform as a Ghost as well throughout most of his episodes.

Glad to see Decade will be staying for more than 2 episodes. Hope he'll be a mainstay nemesis to the main character like how the Phoenix in Wizard and Chaser in Drive.
The real question is, why is Decade helping Zi-O and his gang secretly at the side lines? While in a normal face to face fight, he is clearly trying to say they have room for improvement. "Get stronger!" to the gang.
It is understandable that Decade won't appear as much as they do not want him to steal the show as he already did with us fans. Thus giving Zi-O and gang a room to shine in their own show. But I can't help it. All those powers that Decade has obtained. How I wished I could have seen how Decade obtained all of those powers in his own show again.

Geiz's Ride Watches fade out of existence for 3 frames. The ghosts are back!

Just a heads up, the sound sync on the 720 14.5 is completely screwed up.

So I watched the episode. Not terrible. They actually gave Takeru his powers back once Another Ghost was prevented. Plus it seems like they bothered getting the proper voice actor in for the new Kamen Rides.

I'm giving it a 5 for Takeru and Tsukasa. If this was pro wrestling we would say that Jinga could carry a broomstick to a five star match, and Takeru and Makoto hit all the right notes.

Shouldn't Woz have his own TimeMazine?

If they do go the route of the time-gers, then we have:

Soujo - Red
Tsukuyomi - White
Geiz - Black
Ora - Powder Blue
Heure - Teal
Decade (6th ranger) - Ma-gen-ta!! (edit 1)

Not a lot of primary colors!

take just accidentally cut the audio with the episode cut file. I've reencoded, file in the dropbox is correct now, torrent fix will come in another couple hours once he gets home from work

Love how this ended up being a second season for Decade to an extent and HOLY SHIT is the Decade watch OP. Tsukasa's REALLY been working out since the Heisei vs Showa movie :D

Funny how Ghost is the worst Heisei show, but it probably has the best Zi-O episodes. Because:

1. They got a lot of returning actors from the original show
2. More importantly, they got the main rider AND secondary rider
3. Both returning riders actually got to henshin and fight
4. Takeru is way more likeable than in the original show
5. Mfing Tsukasa

You know, for an episode that introduced the main rider's first big upgrade, this episode didn't have very high stakes. Sougo being a ghost wasn't treated as a very big deal, Zi-O didn't defeat some previously unbeatable enemy, etc. If it wasn't for the fact that the Decade watch looks different (and now we know why we didn't get to see it before), then I'm not sure this episode would really stand out from the first 13.

And yeah, the Decade armor form is kind of lame. It's an okay representation for Decade, I suppose. But layering on decals to represent the upgrade forms of other riders isn't very eye-catching. And more to the point, despite being Sogou's upgrade form, it's Decade and not Zi-O Plus (or something like that), so it's not very Zi-Oy. The actual forms it accesses are kind of weird as well; we get Rabbit Tank Sparkling and Ex-Aid Double Gamer, but then Ghost Grateful rather than Ghost Boost. The new sword is also rather ugly, but admittedly that seems to be par for the course for these things.

Speaking of Ghost, there was sure a lot of him in this episode. Both of the actor and of the rider suit. I'm actually rather surprised, as it's a lot more than we've gotten of past riders in previous episodes. Someone at Toei must really love Ghost!:o

Thankfully this episode kept things moving in terms of the plot and fighting. So this wasn't 22 minutes of the show doing nothing. And the fights were great, even if Decade armor is not.:)

And Toei, please stop with the world spinning effect. It looks like a terrible green screen effect, because that's exactly what it is. However I could do with some more photos of that lunch. That actually looked delicious...

Meanwhile, I can't imagine Toei is going to keep Decade on for too long; he can't be a cheap actor. I'm actually surprised he wasn't a two-and-done like Takeru, but I'm certainly not expecting him to last more than another episode or two. He screams mini-boss more than recurring antagonist.

14.5: I like the Pink Bastard line for Sougo. We're keeping that. You are absolutely a pink bastard, Sougo!

Welcome to Kamen Rider Zi-O, the show where everything's made up and the points don't matter.
First, why does Geist give Zi-O the Decade Watch? It doesn't make any sense for his character. If you're going to do that, have Decade give the watch directly to Zi-O or have Geiz drop the watch. There are so many ways to not write characters acting against their nature.
Because the plot demands it. And that's really it. It's definitely a weakness in the writing.

This is a strange, but good one. This arc, despite having being both a tribute to Ghost and introducing Decade to the mix, manages to balance both fairly well and have both show off. In fact, this is the most a guest star has gotten to shine, since Takeru not only transformed, but he interacted a lot with the main character and played a big part in saving the day. I liked Ghost a decent amount, so that was all appreciated. Makoto on the other hand, just showed up to remind us he exists for thirty seconds! I don't know if that's better or worse than him not appearing at all.

The Time Mazine fight sure came and went. I get it, though. They gotta sell these things. I don't know if I prefer it like in this episode, where it just has a section of it's own and then never being mentioned again, or if I prefer it being mixed into the actual climax of the episode.

Then comes our quarterly upgrade. There's a lot going on with the Decade Armour, but I think I ultimately like it and it's gimmick. The screen showing a picture of it's sub-form's face, which is clearly just taken from concept art, is a hilarious way to save on money. And so is using the undersuit of the past upgrade forms. It's like this whole form is Toei's ability to reuse resources on full display, and I kinda really enjoy that? It is oddly inconsistent that it uses Ghost's mid-season form instead of it's first upgrade like the others.. but Grateful was my favourite form from that series, so I can't complain too much. Also, the Heiseiber has a great name.

Aside from Decade's arrival, it's a fairly standard Zi-O arc, but probably the best one so far. I'm fairly certain we're out of Ride-Watches of past riders to collect? If so, I look forward to whatever comes next. I'm sure it will involve a lot of nonsensical elements involving time travel, but I've long since accepted stuff like that in this show.

Aren't we missing all the watches for pre-Decade riders other than Faiz? W is missing as well.

All those watches exist in toy form and are already out on the market. Because of that, I don't believe they would show up in the series if they haven't already, since there's no reason to advertise them moving into the next quarter of merchandise.

At the very least, the clips of the newest crossover movie shown during this episode's opening shows the monster versions of what I'm pretty sure are Den-O and W, which personally tells me they won't have proper arcs in the series itself.

This is all just my own assumptions though. I'd be pleasantly surprised if absolutely every Heisei rider will get a tribute in the series in some way or another.

I don't think you can say that because the watches exist in toy form and already out there doesn't mean they won't show up in the series. Most of us thought Ghost wasn't going to get a tribute since Geiz already had his Watch but we were so wrong on that assumption. So never say never because Toei will troll us all.
