Unless Woz is simply being told by the book where to go in each year. Since the appearances are spread out, Woz could have also worked a variety of jobs at the same time: "Boss, I have to miss tomorrow afternoon. ... Why? ... Because the glorious Demon King will obtain a new form. ... Yeah, sure, I'll just assume you're talking about some weird MMORPG, go ahead." If the book is revealed to have a hidden title "Script" the Woz would be even more overpowered than Barista Snake.
