Zero-One Licensed By Shout: Streaming & Home Media

I'm surprised someone hasn't already mentioned this here, but Zero-One (and Ryuku) have been licensed by Shout.

According to the press release, Shout will be releasing the series for streaming, and quite surprisingly, a home media (e.g. Blu-ray) release as well.

A contemporary KR series getting a western release is absolutely wild. I guess Toei has no reason to hold back since no one is looking to do new licensed KR adaptations these days.

Thank God I've completed both series from TV-Nihon

I suppose we don't know when will the stream/Blu-ray be released in North America.

Nothing was announced. I get the impression they haven't even done the translation yet. So "not for a while", I imagine.

Do you all think Shout Factory would include those 6 episodes of recap/clipshow minus 35.5 that is, in the streaming or physical copy? I am referring to Zero One.

I was hoping it will not include the recaps/clip shows in both streams and Blu-ray 'cuz it's a NO NO.

Are they in the Japanese BD release?

My sentiments exactly, cause I will be laughing to no end if they do.

Sorry. I don't know. I didn't own any physical copy for that to see if those episodes were included. I doubt they would include those 5 clip shows or recaps aside from 35.5 which actually had new footage in recap episodes. It is just a question that I thought of since Zero One is the only Kamen Rider series thus far to have recaps/clip shows episode 5 times consecutively and wonder if the ones making Blu ray or DVD discs would include them. Other series, Sentai in particular, excluding Kiramager, had like 2 of those on separate occasions. I don't recall Double had any recap episodes in the mainline besides the side stories.

The Blu-ray does include the recap episodes although they are listed under "special features" rather than inserted into the episode list

If Zero-One is licensed, then shouldn't this subforum be under Licensed instead of Active Shows?

We have a streaming release month! TokuSHOUTsu will bring the Zero-One series, along with the REALxTIME movie, in January next year, though REALxTIME will apparently premiere at a November 27 SDCC panel. They didn't specify physical media, so I assume that'll be later.

On a side note, I'm kinda hoping that they include the recaps, because I gain the impression that the whole corporate competition arc is pretty much worth skipping.

Oh, nice; they also have the Covid specials! I've heard that the competition arc is a bit of a slog compared to the rest, so I may just watch the President Specials as a quick replacement.

President's special is a slog too, tbh
