.... I am kinda scared at replying to this topic... but.. here goes nothing...
I watched Densha Otoko in my Japanese class in high school.. and it blew my mind...
That so many people helped one guy get a girl... it makes me want to wish it would happen to me...
but anyway... I loved it after watching the first ten minutes of the series... T_T it made me cry that I never got to see all of it...
*sheds a couple tears*
its so good...
I makes me want to go get the girl of my dreams.... if I could find her.....

I completely agree with you.
Densha does offer a bit of hope that their might be someone out there for you, and you might find them where you least expect them.
Certainly most of my friends I only know online, and a lot of the times I'm either helping them with their issues or they're helping me.
It did make me sad multiple times seeing Densha get the short end of the stick, especially when his chat convo's were discovered, I did cry on several instances, but I'm glad it all worked out in the end.

For one thing I am glad TV-Nihon is back! Anyway I recently watched this series and I must say I was inspired as well; I watch a lot of Jdrama but you hardly see them contain otakus and anything of the sort. It's great that even though its debatable that this is a true story or not that people can help a guy with his relationship problems. Anyways for Christmas I ordered the book "Train Man" and I'm currently watching akihabara@deep which is also good.

sounds like you live in the ATL man.ShinmeiSuzaku wrote:Meh...I know too many people like that...my neighbors are that type...well anyone where I live is basically like that. It's pretty much hell, nothing really you can do here with all the violence. Unless you pull a gun on them..that's why you always gotta come prepared to cap an ass.

Yay necro-ing a thread to make such a reply to a user that hasn't been seen since that post.

Re: Anyone get inspired by Densha?
what are you accomplishing by saying that, I apologize for not paying attention to date, did it warrant for such a response?

I've accomplished informing you of what I did, and yes it did warrant for such a response. And what is "the ATL" anyway?

I love how you expect people to know these things just out of nowhere.
Should Shinmei ever return, he can PM you about it.

I don't see any reason to lock this thread, since the rest of it is still good.

Re: Anyone get inspired by Densha?
Even though I didn't like the way Tsuyoshi would cry so often, when he would beg others on what he should do, and when he had major setbacks with Saori, I loved the fact that he worked hard to better himself. I myself am similar to Tsyoushi in many ways. Hell, I almost cried a few times while watching, but pride wouldn't allow it. I feel that "Densha Otoko" resonates with me so well that it made me feel that some of my future aspirations (including love) are not so far in the distance. I loved this series!
I know it's been said often, but...
Thank you TVN for subbing such a momentous series.
Kittaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

Re: Anyone get inspired by Densha?
Finally, I just finished watching Densha Otoko. The whole drama thing moved me into tears. Yamada-san's heart rung true to me.
Yes, got inspired with the show. It got me inspired to get a haircut tomorrow.
