Would the pronouciation change if you write Kiramei for the rangers colour and stone as Kirame instead? I mean, it is not like Kirameki spelled as Kirameiki but pronounced like it? Would it be similar like the French case with Lupin spells with an I but pronounced with an A? Just asking

The pronunciation doesn't change since Japanese is a phonetic language. It looks like it changes since English isn't. So mage would still be pronounced may-ji. But if you see ma, most people would pronounce it mah.

If you treat Kiramared as a single compound word, the last syllable is -red, so it still works that way. And if you really want to go for a phonetic spelling, I think Kiramay- would be much better.

Anyway, there's always dissonance between English-derived words and their Japanese pronounciations. If you think about it every single sentai name is spelled wrong, since if you really spelled it phonetically it would be -mayja or -meija, not -mager. So I don't see why sweat over this particular one too much.

I'd like it written as Kirameiger, just so it has the "ay" sound show in a way that makes sense. The mechs can be called "Mages" though such as Land and Sky Mage.
