Yeah. If I have to pick one fault with the series so far it's that the 'morals' of the episode seem silly, nonsensical and atypical of the type of aesop that Sentai usually does.

Fun fact, Red finally finishes a monster in this episode. It's so strange with all the Red Focused seasons we gotten lately that we've had a sentai that has focused so much on everyone not-red that 10% of the series in he finally gets to finish a monster.
The aux mashins are no better or worse than the aux trains in ToQGer you know they'll be the shoulder pads and a back thingy of a mid season mecha combo.
